Y/N's POV
Every time I tried to answer a question the teacher asked, my brain would keep thinking about Jennie. Why can't I get her whiny annoying voice out of my head? ugh. I looked back at her. Her face was on her hands, which were gently placed on the desk. The light was reflecting of her hair, making it a lighter shade of brown.

I rolled my eyes. She looked so innocent but in reality is a witch. Not literally but we gotta keep this PG.

"Listen up! We are doing a group project." Ms. Kim said. Please say we can pick our partners, please. "I have already picked partners." she finished. AW, COME ON! Please say I don't have to be with Jennie. "Okay, so the list is up on the board, you just go see who you're with, it's my lunch break for Pete's sake."

I slowly went up there. I was scared to look. I found my name and covered up my partners name. This is the moment of truth. I took my hand off. "yay. I'm partners with Jennie. Just great." I said sarcastically.

I slowly walked over to Jennie. She was on her phone so she didn't notice me. I coughed. "I saw you. I was just ignoring you." Jennie replied, not looking away from her phone. I rolled my eyes.

"What do you want?" She asked me, finally looking away from her phone, to look up at me. "Hm, lemme think...maybe a decent grade?" I said dragging a chair over to where she was sitting. I set it next to her and sat down.

"What's the project about?" Jennie asked, setting her phone down. "Volume." I replied. She sighed. "Omg, I don't have time for this. Just meet me at my house, we can do it there." She replied picking her phone back up.

"Ew, I'm not going to your house." I stated. "Ew, I don't want you at my house. But I'm already failing this class soooo." She replied. "How are you failing this class? It's literally the first week of school." I asked.

"Not everyone is as smart as you Y/N." Jennie said a bit annoyed. I was about to explain that I didn't mean it like that but, I didn't know how to say it. "You're really smart Jennie. You just let popularity get to your head." I finally said.

She thought about it for a bit. "You don't know what's it's like to have a social life so just let me be. It's not your problem, that I'm popular." Jennie replied standing up. She walked out of the classroom, but the teacher was way too busy eating so she didn't notice her walk out.

The truth it is my problem. Because deep inside no matter how much I hate her for everything she's done to me, I still want to keep her safe. I want to make sure she's happy.

It's just me being an overprotective friend...right?
