Chapter 27- "break-up?"

JENNIE's POV
He hesitated, I stared out the window while he thought. Finally after a long pause he spoke up.

"Yes, we dated in middle school and were sort of-.."

"What?"

"I sort of like you, and I got the feeling you liked me. But you see, you have a boyfriend." He said, in a small tone.

I nodded, a bit disappointed. "Who's my boyfriend?"

"This one psychotic dude, his name is Taehyung. He's like popular, and you're like popular. So it's the perfect couple!" He replied, saying the last two sentences sarcastically.

"It seems that you don't like this Taehyung guy. Is it because you're jealous..." I mocked.

"Phfttt- jealous of him, please."

I looked up at him, giving him a "don't lie to me look".

"Okay, maybe.. but only because he's dating you."

"That's what I thought." I said, taking the last bite of food left on my plate. "So you wanna do something today?"

"You're sick. What could you possibly want to do?"

"Watch TV." I told him grinning, standing up, trying to avoid limping to let him see I was fine. I walked all the way downstairs as he followed me into the living room.

I sat down on the couch, he sat next to me and I turned on the TV. I put on Johnny Test. (;-;)

Suddenly he chuckled, I didn't get time to ask why because by the time that thought even crossed my mind I had fallen fast asleep.

Y/N's POV
I let Jennie's head fall on my shoulder. "Why did I tell her?" I mumbled to myself. Suddenly the door opened, and her mom came in along with her dad. They had finally got back, her mom had gone to pick him up from the airport since he has gone on a business trip, but I guess they took a small vacation because they hadn't come back in like a week.

Mrs. Kim smiled when she saw Jennie leaning on my shoulder but Mr. Kim frowned, motioning me over and away from his daughter.

I slowly lifted Jennie's head off of my shoulder and placed it on the sofa, as I walked toward her dad.

"What are you guys doing here?"

"We had to come back from our camping trip early becau-,"

"Jennie, wake up honey." I heard Mrs. Kim day sweetly as she slightly shook Jennie.

"No, don't do tha-," I started, it was too late she was awake. She looked up at the "unknown" woman in horror, as she turned around and scanned the room for a familiar face. She saw me and came over and hid behind me.

"Y/N! There's strangers in my house," she told me looking from her mom to her dad.

"Y/N explain what's going on here!" Mr. Kim said in an angry tone as his wife came over and hugged him sobbing.

"Jennie lost her memory."

"WHAT!?!"

"We were in a canoe, Mr. Kim, and it started to rain and it was foggy and I think we crashed into another canoe, so our canoe flipped over and Jennie hit her head on a rock at the bottom of the lake."

He sighed, as if to try to understand what happened.

"Jennie, it's okay don't be scared. That's your mom," I told her pointing at Mrs. Kim. "And that's your Dad." I said pointing at Mr. Kim who still seemed to be thinking about the situation.

She nodded by I don't think that helped, she didn't move from her position behind me.

Her dad lead her mom to the sofa where he tried to calm her down. Suddenly the doorbell rang and I went to open it, it was Taehyung, his face darkened when he saw me.

His smile faded just like Jennie's dad's. Mr. Kim stood up standing in between Jennie and Taehyung. "It's probably a good thing this happened to Jennie, go away. My daughter would like to break up with you."

Jennie's inspected him, "so this is the guy I date?" She asked me. "Y-. Jennie come with me to the kitchen." I muttered.

"Jennie listen.. tell him you're breaking up with him."

"Why? He seems nice and he's cute."

"You don't understand.. he's dangerous."

"He doesn't look dangerous to me."

I wanted to tell her about the time he gave me a concussion with a baseball bat, all the times he threatened to hurt her, plus the fact that he's cheating on her... but I couldn't find the words.

She looked up at me expectantly.

Will Jennie follow the advice from Y/N or will she make a decision that she'll regret once she gets her memory back?

Author's Note- "heyoooooo! How's life? I hope good! Btw you know what's a really good song first love by after school, I haven't listened to all their other songs but I love orange caramel songs (after school sub-unit) im definitely going to listen to after school's whole discography. pledis needs to give them a freaking comeback or at least something, like a subunit comeback or a solo or something because I wanna listen to after school stuff :( but lets be real pledis sucks, they ruined after school and pristin.
