Chapter 42- "surprise"

JENNIE's POV
"Kim Y/N's family?" He spoke out into the lobby. I ran to him, looking up at him hopefully a tear rolling down my cheek.

"Is he okay?"

"He'll be okay, we haven't seen the severity of the damage with the bleach or how it can affect him long term but usually depending on the dose it only affects the person negatively if it is constantly injected and the knife wound wasn't bad."

I nodded, finally letting out my breath that I had been holding. "Thank you! Can we go in and see him now?"

"Yes, he's pretty stable right now."

I slowly walked to his hospital room, looking around the halls of the hospital as I did. I was one hundred percent sure that Taehyung was behind all of this, even if Han-Seok was the one to do it.

Announcing my arrival, with a small lock on the door I went inside seeing Y/N staring at the TV.

"You sure are up late." I told him, pulling a chair over next to him bed.

"I guess so, I mean it's hard to sleep after almost getting killed.." he replied jokingly.

I rolled my eyes, slapping his arm. "I should've stayed with you.. that way I could protect her."

He stayed quiet for a second finally looking up at me. "It's better that you weren't here, you might've gotten hurt."

I thought about it. "You told me you wouldn't scare me like that anymore.. "

He chuckled, winking at me. "Well just know the only reason I kept pushing through was for you."

I rolled my eyes. "Anyways."

A COUPLE DAYS LATER (Y/N's POV)
"Hurry up we're going to be late!" Jennie told me, tapping her foot near the room door.

"I'm coming.." I replied, shoving all of my things into a bag. It could finally go home, and the doctor said that I should rest but I really want to go to school because I've already missed a lot, plus Namjoon is coming back so I want to see him.

I rushed out the door after Jennie who was already half way down the hallway.

We ran all the way to school but hallway there Jennie stopped me.

"What? Jennie, we're already late.."

"Meet me after school by the school gates, okay? I have a surprise for you."

I nodded, not thinking too much about the situation since we were late and I didn't have time to think about it.

We ran all the way to school, running through the halls into our classroom. When I entered the room I saw Namjoon sitting at him usual spot, after a good three weeks of being on a trip.

"Namjoon!" I yelled, walking towards him, pulling him into a hug.

"Y/N!" He replied, hugging me back. As we pulled apart he gave Jennie who was standing beside me a weird look. "What are you doing here?"

"Oh! That's right.. you don't know.." I started, scratching my neck, Jennie coming over, hugging me from behind.

"Know what?"

"Me and Jennie are dating now."

His eyes widened. "What?!? I leave for three weeks and you go from absolutely hating her to dating her?! What's next? BlackPink is suddenly nice now?"

I grinned. "Well, kind of. Lisa and Jisoo haven't been to school in a long time, but Rosè is nicer, definitely."

"And let me guess, Taehyung is in jail now?" He asked in a joking tone, scoring at his "dumb" joke.

Jennie and I stayed quiet, looking at the floor.

He stared up at us in disbelief, shaking his head. "You know what.. I'm just glad to be back.."

Rosè came over grabbing Jennie's hand, while her eyes were glued on Namjoon.

She got closer to me whispering something in my ear. "Who's your friend?"

The teacher barged in carrying his laptop as usual. I sighed not wanting class to start yet.

With a sad pout, Jennie left to go sit at her desk, and I sat at mine. I didn't remember how boring school was until that moment but it went by pretty fast and by the time I knew it, it was the end of the day.

I was about to start walking home when I remembered what Jennie had said. "Meet me after school by the school gates."

I slowly walked towards the gates, and saw Jennie standing there fiddling with her fingers, nervously.

She was adorable. As I got closer, I could tell she was getting more nervous but I didn't know why.

"So.. you said you had a surprise for me?"

She nodded, covering my eyes with her hands, slowly directing me towards whatever this surprise was.

"Oh, be careful there's a step there." She told me.

Suddenly we stopped and she removed her hands from my eyes revealing an apartment building.

"What's this?"

"Well, I found this apartment online and I thought we could come and check it out and maybe we could rent it in a couple of years and live here.. together.."

I looked up at her, a blank expression on my face.

Will Y/N accept?
