Chapter 32- "arrested"

Y/N's POV
I rushed into the hospital, my eyes swelling up with tears. I blinked them away.

"Hello, Miss? Do you know what room Lee Jiae is in?" I asked the nurse at the front desk.

"Let me see. Oh yes, in 136."

"Thank you."

I ran up the stairs to my mother's room, I hesitated to go inside. I didn't want my mom to see me cry, I wanted her to see that I knew she'd get better, that I was strong so she should also be strong.

I walked in, seeing my mom, in the hospital bed, looking very pale.

"Mom?"

"Y/N?"

"Mom, it's me! I came to see you." I walked over to the side of her bed, to hold her hand. I slowly lifted it so she could touch my face.

"Y/N? I haven't seen you in so long. I thought you forgot about me." She told me, blinking slowly.

I felt a lump in my throat.

"No, how could I?"

My brother walked into the room, he was the one who had called me.

"I'll be right back, okay?" I told her, in a soothing voice. I stood up, grabbing my brothers arm and pulling him outside.

I made sure to walk a couple doors down from my mother's room so she wouldn't hear us.

"What happened to her?"

"I don't know, she's been feeling unwell for a while now but it's never been this bad."

"Why didn't you tell me?"

"You're too young to be worrying, you've got the pressure of school and those things."

"She's my mom, for Pete sake! I have the right to know these things. What if she hadn't just gotten sick? WHAT IF SHE DIED? WHAT IF SHE DIED AND I DIDN'T GET THE CHANCE TO SAY GOODBYE BECAUSE NO ONE TOLD ME?" Tears started streaming down my face, I slowly fell to the ground.

My older brother, grabbed my shoulders and led me to a nearby bench, there he calmed me down, until we were both just staring at the floor thinking.

"I've got to call Jennie, I was walking her home but I had to rush over so I have to make sure she got home alright."

He nodded, as I looked for her in my contacts and pressed the call button.

JENNIE's POV
I woke up, and everything hurt. I looked around, I was in a type of storage unit, there were things like bleach and extra lightbulbs laid out of metal shelves. It was quiet a small space.

"Where am I?" I thought out loud.

"You're home, babe."

That startled me since I hadn't realized there was someone in the unit with me.

My stomach dropped as I looked over at a corner and saw a familiar face.

Suddenly a phone started ringing and without any hesitation he turned of the phone. I didn't think much of it, until I realized that that was my phone.

Y/N's POV
"THERE HE IS OVER THERE." I heard someone say. I looked up to see Mrs. and Mr. Kim, rushing over in my direction. They were being followed by a group of policemen.

My stomach dropped, realizing they were talking about me.

"Kim Y/N, you're under arrest for kidnapping Jennie Kim." They told, me grabbing me harshly while putting handcuffs on me.

"How would that make any sense? I've been here the whole time!" I argued.

"You have the right to remain silent."

I was about to turn to my brother to tell him to make sure my mom doesn't see me like this when I saw her standing in the middle of the hallway, hanging in to a walker. Her eyes were red and tears were rolling down her face.

Suddenly she collapsed. I tried to run to her, I tried to get away from the policemen holding me, just so I could go see if she was okay, but they didn't care and still took me away.

Tears streamed down my face, I was not only being arrested for something I hadn't done but I had made my mother's condition worse than it already was.

Will Y/N get unfairly punished for kidnapping Jennie? Or will the real criminal get caught? Will Y/N's mom be okay? But most importantly will he get caught before it's too late?
