Chapter 9- "lovely date"

JENNIE's POV
"Y/N, why do you think that I invited here today?" I asked, totally ignoring my question. "Because you want to watch me suffer?" He asked. "No, because I like spending time with you." I told him. 'And because I like you' I thought. He didn't reply, all he did was take out his phone to check the time. It was already 7. "Can we start heading back?" He asked. "Why? It's so early!" I exclaimed.

"Maybe because it takes like 5 hours to walk back?!?!" Y/N said. "Fine, but if we leave now you have to go on a dat- I mean hangout at the café near the library with me." I stated. He thought about it. "Fine.." he pouted.

When we got off we started to leave the festival but then, a young man stopped us. "Hello, my friend! Are you interested in buying a rose for your lovely date?" He asked Y/N. Y/N laughed. "Date? I'm good pal. I'll stop by next time when I bring a girl I like." He replied. "what an idiot." I murmured, glaring at Y/N. "Well if you won't get this beautiful lady a rose, I'll give it to her." He stated, taking a rose from his hands and handing it to me.

I looked at it, and smelt it. It was beautiful and it smelled amazing. "I love it, thank you!" I told the seller. I looked at Y/N, he clenched his fist and took the rose from me. "How much is it?" He asked, pulling his wallet out. "$20." The guy answered. "$20 for a rose?!?!" Y/N exclaimed. The guy nodded and Y/N looked over at me. "Am I truly not worth $20?" I asked.

He sighed and gave him the money. "Here's a rose for a lovely lady." Y/N said handing it to me. I pushed his hand away. "I don't want it anymore." I stated, walking away. "Why did you make me buy it for you then?!?!" He asked. "I didn't. You bought it for, and I quote "a lovely lady"." I answered.

He caught up to me. "Fine I'll give it to Jihyo then." Y/N said. I didn't say anything, he can do whatever he wants. "She'll look so pretty holding it. The dark red color will complement her eye color-." He started to say. I snatched the rose from his hand. "Fine, I'll take it. But only because you spent $20 on it." I replied, hating the fact he had talked about Jihyo like that.

He smiled.

Preview of next chapter- "(Y/N's POV) I walked Jennie home and I started heading home myself. The street was dark and the dim street light didn't help much. I continued walked though. I don't know why I had a feeling someone was watching me, or following me but I didn't quite know why."
