Chapter 12- "staying back"

Y/N's POV
I was laying down on the hospital bed just staring at the TV. I barely knew what was going on because I had the volume off. And I couldn't turn it on because it made my head hurt.

So at this point all I understood from Spongebob was that Vanessa slapped Billy, because he ate her chicken nuggets. Which to be honest, I would've slapped him too if he touched my precious nuggies.

A sudden thought washed over me. Jennie would be alone with Taehyung today at school. Just like the happy couple they are. I frowned. I should be happy if my old best friend is happy, and if Taehyung makes her happy than I'm willing to live with that.

JENNIE's POV
I sighed, looking up at Y/N's empty seat. I guess Lisa saw me staring at it so she scooted next to me. "Why have you been hanging out so much with Y/N? Didn't you guys already finish your project?" She asked.

"Yes, it's just-." I started, about to say that I liked Y/N. But got interrupted by the Mrs. Kim. "Jennie! Lisa! If you two have so much to say, why don't you come up and teach the class?" She yelled. "We're sorry, Mrs. Kim." We both replied.

At that exact moment, Taehyung walks into the room. Late, as always. "Kim Taehyung! Who do you think you are? Coming late everyday?" She asked, getting irritated. "I'm truly so sorry Mrs. Kim, it won't happen again." He sighed. "That's what you always say. Now get to your seat!" She yelled.

Taehyung made his way to the seat next to me, but before he sat down he gave me a kiss. Which I was not expecting.

That made the teacher even angrier, but she Just clenched her fist and continued talking.

When there was only a few minutes left of class, the teacher started picking her things up and handing a sheet of paper to all the students.

"It's that time of the year when we get to go on our 'welcome to school' overnight field trip! So make sure that you get your permission slips signed and get them back to me by Friday. The field trip is this Saturday and we will come back to school on Tuesday." She explained, as she finished handing out papers.

I hope that Y/N could go, it would be so much fun to spend almost 4 days with him. But either way Taehyung won't let me have fun if Y/N comes. I sighed.

"Mrs. Kim? What do we do if we can't go?" Taehyung asked, from next to me. My face lit up. Was Taehyung not going? That meant I could spent 4 days with Y/N, without Taehyung getting jealous or even hurting him.

This was the opportunity of a lifetime!
