Chapter 29-"forgive"

JENNIE's POV
I woke up early, got dressed and almost made it out the door before my mom stopped me. "Where do you think you're going?"

"School."

"You almost died two days ago and you're just going off to school?" My dad asked.

I nodded. "Listen, Mom, Dad. I know the doctor said something about "don't use too much energy or you'll faint" or something like that but I need to make things right, I've hurt a lot of people, and I'm going to try my best to fix that." I told them, waving goodbye.

I stopped though, coming back and hugging both of them. "I love you."

I made my way to school, stopping at a a store before getting to school and when I finally got there, I tried to track down Sana. I finally found her at her locker and she flinched when she saw me, looking at the floor the whole time.

"Sana. I wanted to apologize. I was really mean to you, I'm truly sorry."

She still seemed skeptical, but nodded. "I know it's hard to forgive someone right away after treating you so bad, but I brought you a small gift either way." I said, taking out a bag of her favorite candy, I handed it to her.

She smiled. "How did you know?"

"I remembered you mention it once." I smiled.

"Thanks,"

I smiled, and walked away feeling happy. Then I looked for Jihyo. I found her sitting next to Rosè, in the classroom. I saw Taehyung glare at me drone the back of the room, my stomach dropped."Jihyo, can I talk to you in the hallway?" I asked, eager to get out of the room.

She did, although in an angry manner. Rolling her eyes, "what do you want?"

"I wanted to apologize for everything I've done, for being selfish and just everything. I know you probably won't want to forgive me because what I did was too severe. But in the future I hope that we might be able to have a friendship just like we did when we were kids." I sighed.

She didn't reply. I was about to walk away but then remembered what I had brought for her.

"I didn't have that much money so I made you this," I told her, taking out two twine bracelets, both which a yellow heart attached in the middle.

She laughed, "just like the ones we used to have when we were little."

"Yeah, you can keep both of them though, I wasn't a great friend."

She sighed. "It's okay, I wasn't either. Here." She said putting one bracelet on my wrist and the other on hers.

"Come here." She said giving me a hug.

We walked into class, she sat down next to Rosè again and I sat down in the seat next to them, glancing casually to the back of the classroom, trembling a bit every time I saw him staring at me.

"How come you guys are so close?" I asked, taking out my books.

"Well, Jihyo told me that you felt we weren't treating you right.. I realized she was right. I'm sorry."

I nodded. "It's fine."

"Where are the other girls?"

"They were on the canoe you guys crashed into."

"Oh no! Are they okay?"

"Yeah, they just got a cold or something because of the water."

"Oh-."

I was interrupted by the teacher, who came and told us. "Hello, class. Please welcome our new student, I'm aware he's aquatinted with one of our students already. Jennie?"

Suddenly Y/N ran into the room. "Sorry I'm late."

"He'S nOt nEW." Some kid said.

"Not him you fool." The teacher said (okay she didn't actually say fool, but it's funnier this way).
