Y/N's POV
I walked Jennie home and I started heading home myself. The street was dark and the dim street light didn't help much. I continued walking though. I don't know why I had a feeling someone was watching me, or following me but I didn't quite know why.

I was still quite far away from my house when I heard footsteps behind me, and they seemed to be getting faster as my pace got faster. I didn't want to look behind me because I knew if I did, that would just make matters worse. If this person wasn't planning on hurting me, then their plan would change if I saw them.

When I was only a few blocks away from my house, I felt something hard hit my head. I fell to the ground half conscious. The last thing I heard before I blacked out was a male sounding voice.

"You better get away from Jennie, if you don't want this to happen again."

JENNIE's POV
I woke up, expecting a text from Y/N. Whenever I forced him to hang out he'd text me in the morning and say something like "Do we have to?". But surprisingly there was nothing.

"Hm. That's weird." I said aloud. "Whatever he's probably still asleep or something." I told myself.

To pass time I went downstairs to get some breakfast, and brought it back upstairs to eat while watching TV. My mom wasn't home so she couldn't complain about me doing this.

I don't know for how long I'd been watching TV, but it was already two in the afternoon. I picked up my phone to see if I'd gotten a text from Y/N, but still nothing. "We had arranged to meet at 3, though. Did he forget?" I asked myself. "I don't think he would.."

"Should I call him? No. Yeah. Maybe? Okay, whatever." I thought, dialing his number. The phone rang but he didn't pick up. I'll try calling his mom then.

Again the phone rang but this time someone actually picked up. "Hello?" A women's voice asked. "Hello, is this Y/N's mom?" I asked. "Yes, you must be Jennie. Y/N was bugging me to call you and tell you he couldn't make it to your date." She replied. "Why? Did something happen?" I asked.

"Someone attacked him on the street last night." She explained. "WHAT! What happened?!?" I exclaimed. "He was walking home from your house, and someone purposely hit I'm the head with bat. He fell unconscious, and the police found him a few minutes later thinking he was dead." She told me.

"Where is he?" I asked. "In the hospital. He almost got a concussion." She said. "I'll be right there." I said, running out the door.

'Who could've done something like this?' I thought as I drove to the hospital. All of a sudden, my phone startled me. Taehyung was calling me.

Preview of next chapter- "(Y/N's POV) I closed my eyes again. Just before I fell asleep I heard something. "I wish I could go back. I wish I had never left you, Y/N. Why was I so stupid?" Jennie sobbed. "You wouldn't be here if it wasn't for me. It's my fault...""
