JENNIE's POV
As the canoe flipped over, my stomach sank and I struggled to not drink the cold water that hugged my body in a sharp coldness. My whole body felt like it was being stabbed by little pins and needles, I was so cold that I had stopped shivering. My only hope was the dim moonlight shining through the top of the water, and by the time I realized what had happened, the moonlight wasn't visible through the deep layer of water between the surface and me.Suddenly everything went black.
Y/N's POV
Where was Jennie? (A/N- wHeRe'S WaLDo okay I'll stop now) I scanned the surface of the water but she was nowhere to be seen, although it was really dark and foggy so I wasn't sure. I started calling out for help, when my heart started to hurt. It wasn't like a heart attack or anything it just felt weird, I thought about Jennie and my stomach sank.I took a deep breath and submerged my head in the water, I closed my eyes so I couldn't see anything but I managed to open them for a split second, which caused irritation but was of no use because it was too dark to see anything.
Either way I poked my head out of the water only long enough to get air and started swimming towards the bottom of the lake, I had a feeling there was something there.
When I got all the way down it was really dark so I had to touch the ground to get around, suddenly I touched something mildly warm and it creeped me out for a second. I didn't know what it was but I was pretty sure it was a human, I was a bit more grossed out because it was known that some murderers just throw bodies in the lake. I shivered at the thought but still pulled the heavy object up to the surface.
At the surface I squinted to see who or what it was, and I gasped at her face. It was Jennie, my heart skipped a beat, she seemed to be unconscious or dead. I moved her hair away from her face and when I took my hand away from her, a trace of blood was on it. Her head was bleeding.
She must've hit her head on something and went unconscious. I had to get help quick, but there seemed to be do sign of a rescue boat or anything. I sighed determinedly and put Jennie on my back, and started swimming towards the shore.
It took a good ten minutes but I finally got to the sand area, I collapsed into the sand, the rain hitting my body aggressively, as I panted. I remembered that Jennie was still hurt and I had to go get help so I put her in my back again and I carried her all the way to the cabin, in which Han-Seok was in.
"What happened!?!" He asked, his eyes widening. "I don't know exactly what happened but we need to get a doctor or something." I told him. He said he would call an ambulance and he did.
While I waited desperately for the ambulance to come, I pressed Jennie's wrist looking for a pulse. It was very faint, and at this point she had almost stopped breathing.
I would try CPR, but I had forgotten how to do it and I didn't want to hurt her head or something by doing it wrong.
Suddenly a doctor rushed in and did CPR on her, she coughed a couple times and opened her eye slightly. Either way he took her into the ambulance as I trailed behind them. We both got on and it started moving, I struggled to keep my balance since it was going pretty fast.
Jennie squinted at the bright ambulance light above her, and I saw her move her hand and touch her head, later looking at it seeing it was covered in blood.
Her hand started shaking, and I could tell she was about to scream or something. I quickly grabbed the blood covered hand, and intertwined my fingers with her hand. She looked up at me, feeling reassured but she seemed confused.
When we got to the hospital they took her into the room and they told me stay in the waiting room, I did as they said, impatiently waiting for an answer.
Finally, the doctor came out, and greeted me.
"How is she?"
"She's conscious now, and you can go see her but-."
I didn't let him finish before I was already running towards her room, I went in and kneeled by her bed. "Jennie, thank goodness you're okay!" I told her, grabbing her hand, she took it away from me.
"Um, who are you?"
"Y/N."
"Am I supposed to know who you are?"
I was shocked by the question, I didn't know what to answer. It's not like I was just going to be like "oh yeah I'm the guy who you're cheating on your boyfriend with," or "I'm the guy that likes you but can't express it because you have a psychotic boyfriend."
I stayed quiet, as the doctor entered the room. "That's what I was going to tell you.. she lost her memory."
