Chapter 15- "why?"

JENNIE's POV
I was running out of the hospital parking lot by the time, Yoongi had caught up to me. "Jennie!" He yelled, grabbing my wrist. I rolled my eyes, as I was pulled to a halt. "What now?" I replied annoyed. "Where are you going?" He asked. "Home." I replied, trying to get loose, from his grip. "Are you crazy!?! That's like 30 minutes away in a car, that's like an hour on foot!" Yoongi exclaimed.

"Yeah, well I'm losing time, every second you are holding me back." I sighed, still trying to pull my wrist away. He sighed, but began pulling me to the side of the road. "What are you doing?" I asked. He didn't reply.

After a few seconds a yellow car had pulled up in front of us, and Yoongi motioned from me to get in the backseat. I did and he followed me, sitting down in the seat next to me. He quickly told the driver my address, and she started driving.

"Yoongi. I don't have money for this taxi, I left the little money I had from my allowance and my summer job at home. Even that isn't enough." I sighed. "I'm paying, don't worry. I'm not letting you walk for an hour. Plus, I heard it was gonna rain." Yoongi told me.

I smiled, but then it faded. "What's wrong?" Yoongi asked. "Wh-Why do you care?" I whispered, lowering my gaze to the floor. "What do you mean?" He asked. "Why do you care if I walk home in the rain? How does it affect you?" I asked.

"It doesn't. But you seem like a nice person and I like hanging out with you. Wouldn't want my friend getting wet!" He laughed. I smiled. "But you just met me? How are we friends?" I questioned.

"It doesn't matter if I just met you, I can tell we get along. Actually funny story, I once saw this little girl at the store, and she literally just went up to this other girl and asked her to be best friends. why can't we be like that? Wanna be friends?" He chuckled.

"Yes, I would love that. I don't have many good friends except for Y/N, and some girls at my school." I sighed.

"Who are the girls?" He asked. "Um, well. There is Lisa, Rosè, and Jisoo. They are pretty nice and all but sometimes they can also hurt me. They lower my self esteem even if they say they're are just kidding.." I sighed.

"Well, at least now you have me and Y/N." Yoongi told me. "Do you think.. he'll ever forgive me, for ditching him?" I asked. "I can tell he really likes you. So I'm sure he will, it's just—.." he started.

"Just what?" I questioned, looking up at him. "When he knocked over the food you brought him, I left following you.. but I went back in to get your bag." He continued, motioning to my bag which he had been carrying. "And?" I sighed.

"Y/N was sobbing. I don't think he wanted to do that to you, let alone hurt you.. but I don't know why he did it." Yoongi explained.

I thought back at what had happened. If he didn't actually want to do it, why did he?
