"To put it plainly..." He glanced at Roman slightly before looking up at me with this serious expression. "... you didn't approve of my connection to the Dragon Witch." His connection to... my face paled in shock and I could feel Roman begin to fuss in my arms. Calm down, Virgil. I don't think he meant it like that. Besides... It would be his Roman. Not yours. Your Roman is sleeping in your arms. He needs you. Don't fall into a pit of heartbroken jealousy when he is literally cuddling up to you. "Virgil?"

"Y-Your connection to the Dragon Witch..." His eyes narrowed as if expecting me to freak out. I didn't. Why would I? "What do you mean?" He started laughing again before shaking his head.

"You know, sometimes I forget you not him. I'm a mystic, Virgil." I narrowed my eyes in confusion and he just smiled. "A mystic is someone who follows the witches. Serves under them... protects them." His eyes grew dark again as he crossed his arms. "Unfortunately just like with them, the mystics have pretty much died out. There's only a few truly devout ones left."

"And... Your Virgil didn't approve?" He just shook his head and sighed glancing at Roman again.

"You... Our You... was completely against the Dragon Witch. He was convinced that he was the villain and only wanted to hurt Thomas. So when he found out I was a mystic, he was livid." He cocked his head to the side as if remembering something unpleasant and frowned. "He went ballistic. He even accused me of putting Thomas in danger. Like he would ever actually hurt Thomas. He's nothing but..."

"Frightened." He stopped and looked up at me as I smiled sadly. He just nodded. "I saw."

"I noticed the burns." I just kept absentmindedly running my hand through Roman's hair as the sleeping man smiled at my touch. I was lost in thought. "What hap..."

"I stabbed him." His eyes went wide as I stared blankly at nothing. "I was... not well. We just got here... things were confusing and out of hand and... Seeing him it just snapped. I don't exactly know what was going through my mind. Like... I knew this was the Dragon Witch. I mean it isn't hard to guess but... I don't know. I was frazzled and frightened and he clenched his fists startling me..." As the memories of what happened played through my mind, I couldn't help but shudder. Zero... He came out then too. I heard him growling. He had a wound on his chest from being clawed. No wonder he was so scared of Zero. And no wonder Zero doesn't like him. He's a part of this world too. He's their Virgils wolf... meaning he would hate the Dragon Witch as much as their Virgil does... I'm a moron. Cassidy cringed and I frowned. "So about this whole mystic thing..." His eyes just narrowed at me. "... how do you become one?"

"Are you asking how it was I got into it?" No... I'm asking how you become one... I looked away letting my fingers wrap around Romans crystal necklace and Cassidy sighed. "I was raised to be one. My Parents were mystics. They served under his Mother. I guess... I guess it just felt natural to follow him. He was kind and careful. We practically grew up together. So when I found out he was a... he..." He stopped and looked away. I knew what he was saying. When he found out Roman was a sanders side. "I was the one that helped him. He was my friend... but I never let my duties as a mystic slip. Even now." He looked back up with a smile and I sighed. "There are a few people who would just show up. Emile was actually one of them back before the... eh... The thing that killed the witches. Now he just likes to help where he can. Poor guy. He was there when it happened. It was a lot to have to work through but I think he's getting better. Ever since he met Jeremy..."

"I have no idea what you're talking about." He just burst out laughing and I frowned.

"Yeah, sorry about that. Got lost in my thoughts a bit." He looked over and smiled sadly at Roman before looking back up at me. "You don't have to worry though. I follow him by choice. He's a good man that... Dragon witch." He chuckled a bit and sighed happily. "I'm just happy he even asked for help at all. Anyway..." He slowly got up again stretching as he did with this big smile on his face. "I was asked to check on Thomas, so check on Thomas is what I shall do. You gonna be ok here? Lo and Pat are just in the other..."

"I'm good. Go on. Roman said Thomas's wasn't well." Cassidy just nodded as I watched him sink down. I just sighed feeling Roman sleeping peacefully on my lap. I had one hand in his hair all wrapped up while the only played with the chain around his neck. I narrowed my eyes as fingers wrapped around the chain and in one swift movement off came the crystal. The world practically exploded with warmth. Not the stifling overheated kind that makes you feel like your in an oven... No. This felt like a warm summer day sitting by a calm fire. I glanced down to see his face scrunch up. I just smiled. He didn't instantly turned into the 'dragon witch' like I thought he would but that warm energy that surrounded him was obvious. "Was this why you felt like a monster?" He started to fuss a bit and I frowned fixing the necklace back around his as much as could. It was hard though... it was broken before I did anything. The warmth died back down and I frowned as his eyes fluttered open. "Good evening, sleepy head."

"Virgil?" He yawned as he slowly sat himself up. He looked around a bit confused gingerly placing a hand over his crystal. I don't even think he realizes he's doing it. I just smiled sadly at him. "What..."

"You fell asleep on my lap." His eyes went wide as he glanced over at me once again seeing how hurt I was.

"I didn't cause you..." I just shook my head and he frowned.

"I'm fine, Roman. Really... I'm just happy you felt comfortable enough with me to fall asleep." He laughed a little as he fixed himself out.

"Yeah I guess we did get a little... strained, but... I'm never NOT going to feel comfortable with you, Virge." His face lit up as I just laughed.

"Well, I'm never going to let you go so... I guess that's good then." His face fell a little in shock as I leaned into him. I laid my head down on his lap this time and just smiled up at him. "I love you, Roman. No matter what... you... you know that right?" His eyes narrowed as he looked away and I frowned. I guess i should've known. After all when he confessed I didn't even think it was real. I thought he was playing me. It would only make sense that he would fear I wouldn't love him. So... I did the one thing I hadn't done yet. My hand wrapped around his shirt tightly and before he could even react I pulled him hard into me. His eyes went wide as our lips locked. I melted instantly obviously he did not. That was fine. I was way too busy dealing with how fast my heart was racing... My mind shut down and I was just lost in the moment. The air rushed around us and I smiled through the kiss as he finally wrapped his arms around me. I could finally feel him relax into me and I was... well, I was a man in love

There was a loud explosion outside and we both jumped up in shock. We shared a fearful glance before his hand found mine begging for support. I just held it tightly as we made our way outside.

"Well, Well, Well..." Two men stood in the center of everything. They wore old-timey bright white hooded cloaks that reflected the sun as if the cloaks themselves glowed. One of the men took off the hood to show a familiar bright and happy smile that quickly turned psychotic. "It's been so long since I was here last." I saw Patton and Logan rush out of one of the other buildings... The library I think. It doesn't really matter because the moment they did Emile snapped. "JUST HOW MANY OF YOU ARE THERE?!"

"Oh, hush now, Emile." I... I know that voice. I... know... Roman gripped my hand tighter and I looked over to see him wide-eyed staring at the other man. He recognized his voice to. The other man slowly let his hood fall and I just stood there shaking.

"REMY?!" The man just narrowed his eyes at us questioningly as Emile glanced around at everyone fuming. "But I thought... I... Remy?"

"The names Jeremy Sanders." He just smiled brightly and Emile stopped to look over at his boyfriend. Jeremy... So he's the one that... had that room at the coffee house? But serious?! I thought there wasn't a sle... "But you can call me Insomnia."
