Chapter 3: We can work this out

Grace walked towards the kitchen, of course after getting permission from Mr. Fulton. As Grace walked into the kitchen, she smiled as her friends greeted her and greeted them back. She smiled and said to her friends, taking in the smell of the food, "It smells so good in here, guys." Troy turned to see his girlfriend and said, grinning, "Hey, what's up?" Grace walked over to her boyfriend and replied, "Nothing much, I saw my mom with Sharpay and Ryan's mom at the spa on my way down here. I heard them talking about having dinner with my family." Chad walked over to his friend and said to her, "What? Obviously, they're trying to get you to warm up to them so they can use you for their own purposes." Grace's eyes widened and Troy said, bumping into the conversation as he stood in front of his scared girlfriend protectively, "Whoa, whoa, whoa. I'm just going to stop you right there, Chad. We all just need to take a step back and calm down." Chad stepped back, realizing that Grace was getting overwhelmed. Troy continued, "Come on, guys. We got summer jobs, two free meals a day, we only have to wear these uniforms, and we have a whole summer to look forward to. This is our summer, guys. All for one and one for all. So, what team?" Everyone said, "Wildcats!" Troy said again, "What team?" Everyone said, "Wildcats!"

[Chad]:
How did we get to the top of the world

[Taylor]:
I don't recall you mentioning
The boss is such a creep

[Zeke]:
We still have the ingredients to
Make this summer sweet

[Martha]:
Well, I got rags instead of riches

[Jason]:
And all these dirty dishes

[All]:
Just wish I had three wishes

[Grace, spoken]:
Okay, guys, break it up

[Troy]:

[Chad, spoken]:
Dude, what have you gotten us into?

[Troy, spoken]:
Come on, we can totally turn this thing around

(Chad):
I'd rather face a seven footer
Straight up in the post

[Taylor]:
That sure beats hanging here

[Taylor and Martha]:
And burning someone's toast

[Jason]:
I needed Benjamins
But this ain't worth the stress

[Kelsi]:
Maybe there's a better way
To fix this greasy mess

[Troy, as he winked at Grace who smiled]:
We're a champion team
A well-oiled machine
And we've faced tougher problems than this
I know it's a grind
But I'm sure we can find
A way to have fun
While we get this job done

Lounge around the pool a while

[Troy, as he held Grace's hand in his own and spun her around, making her laugh]:
Make a date with my favorite girl

Grace laughed along with her friends, standing next to her boyfriend. She looked at her phone, getting a message, and froze. The girl was too busy staring at her phone to realize that her friends had chanted their school chant. Everyone was now surrounding her, concerned for her. Troy wrapped his arm around Grace and said to her, seeing her looking at her phone, "What's wrong, Gracie?" Grace replied, looking up from her phone, "My uncle and cousins are coming to Lava Springs." They were in for a royal surprise.
