Shadowhunters Season 4

To get him back

We were in the Institute. I was happy that I portaled in Izzy's room. She was shocked first but then she pulled herself together. Other shadowhunters might not react like Izzy.
" Hi. Finally you come. I was worried that something might happened to you." She said. Alec walked through her. They stared each other for couple of minutes. Then he hugged her.
" We are too. But we find his blanket to track." Alec said and showed the blanket. I was going to talk but Tessa opened the door.
" There you are. I was looking for you. I bring the statue." Tessa said.
" Good. Now all we need is maps." I said. I knew they wouldn't understand and I was right.
"Why? We can follow the blanket when you track it." Alec said.
" We don't know where will take us. I need to prepare for it." I said.
" Okay! I have maps here. What kind of map do you want?" Izzy asked. I know when I said the kind they would (Except Tessa) be surprised about it.
" A map which shows all realms. And gates in New York." I said. They reacted as I thought.
" Do you think..." Izzy was talking but I stopped her.
" Yes! Please, just bring the maps." I said. Izzy looked at the cupboards to find them and Alec opened a space for us on the table to put the maps. We came closer to table and Izzy put the maps. I opened each one and put them in order. I looked at each of them carefully and I took both hair and blanket to just in case. I put them in the middle of the maps and said the words. While I was saying the words and blanket, hair, maps was covered with blue smoke. We waited and waited and waited. Finally blanket and hair stopped in the same point. I was expecting that but I didn't believe that until I saw them in the map and actually it didn't change much. I still couldn't believe my eyes. Yeah they could be the only one who could kidnapp him like that way. But still... I hoped not to be them. I always kept distance with them and now it didn't change anything. I sat on the sofa not to faint. I was relived to know where he was but it would take a long journey to get him back. And, we had a little chance to not to be recognized. It would be hard. That was the only thing I knew for sure. Only thing. I was thinking like that and the others were looking at the maps silently. Nobody said a single word.
Finally Tessa stopped the silence.

" I know it will be hard but we need to make a plan. Fast! We should be there as soon as we can." She said. She was right but how can we went there without their knowledge. If they would find out they could make more complicated magic or they would move him to an other place.

" It is to risky. If they suspect a single thing they will move him. We need to make a plan which make us invisible to them. They can't know. And we need a good cover and people to go." I said. We were all desperate but Izzy found an amazing idea.

" We can change our looks before we go. We can be Shadowhunters from the Clave. Helen and Aline told that there can be a war. We can go there for the war cover. And I am sure that they will think that Clave doesn't care for Max. Because that's what they want. They need an advantage over us. That advantage is to take other Downworlders to be on their side. So nobody will think that we are there for saving Max. We should deal with them but it can't as hard as going there as who we are." She said we looked at her with admire. I didn't know why me and Tessa didn't think that before. Maybe it was the only why we could go.

" That isn't a bad idea." Alec said. I could see in his eyes that he wasn't sure and probably it was because of the Clave. We have to get their approval.

" It's an amazing idea and I am sure it is the only way. But I think you should stay here Isabel in case. Clary might wake up and someone who know her must stay." I said. I knew she wouldn't like it.

" You will need me! I'll call Luke. He already wants to come. He can stay here." She said. Yeah she wasn't lying we would need her for sure. But Alec didn't like it too.

" No! You'll not come! You are the head of the Institute now !" He said.

" You can't keep me with it. They won't die if I go" She said. Alec looked at me to approve what he said but I didn't. Izzy was right.

" Fine! But we can't go there without Clave's knowledge. They could send people too. We can't take that risk." He said. And I took my phone to call Helen.

" We will ask them. I'll call Helen." I said and dialed the number. She opened and I told our plan to go to the Seelie Realm. I was surprised when she said I should open a portal for them instead of her answer. But she said it was important so I said yes. They looked at me.

" She didn't said anything but they'll come here in 10." I said. I was really curious to learn what was going to happen, like them.

" But why?" Alec asked for a good reason. Yeah why?

" We'll learn soon. Others sat down and I waited for a little bit longer than opened the portal.
