Senior year.
Our last year of going to this hellhole of a school.
But we have the stupid prom and then graduation.
I just want to go home."Evans!", I see Anthony running up to me with the teachers yelling for him to slow down but he continues his run. " Anthony, if you keep running for me, you'll get your ass beat eventually.", he rolled his eyes, "since last weekend, I am officially and legally an adult. I would LOVE to see them try.", I laughed.
Anthony's birthday was last weekend. He had a party and everything. Unfortunately, I left early because one, I wasn't feeling well and two, my 5 year crush was getting to touchy with his boyfriend. Making out on the couch.
I know it sounds bad that I left my best friend's birthday party because of that but Anthony ended up getting some action when I left so, no harm.
He didn't even noticed I even left anyway.
Or that's what he claims." So, you coming to my graduation party?", I followed him to his car, "geez, Mackie. You always got something to party about.", he stopped and looked at me. Or I thought until I realized he was looking slightly behind me.
"Crush alert. Approaching at high speed."
Fuck.
"Hey! Sebastian! Haven't seen you for a minute. Nice to see you're up for air.", I bit my tongue to not laugh even if Sebastian laughed at Anthony's joke. Sebastian is known forever sucking faces with his boyfriend constantly.
"Just wanted to know if you could give me a ride home."
"What? Boyfriend is sick or something?"
"No. He's staying after school and I don't want to stay in prison any longer."
Anthony nodded, "alright hop in.", I open the door and push the passenger's seat back to allow Sebastian to crawl in.
His scent overwhelms me as he climbed in.
Fuck.
I pull the seat back and get in myself. I didn't realize I didn't say anything until Sebastian pointed it out.
"Chris, you feeling okay? You're oddly quiet.", I felt his hand on my shoulder which caused me to tense up. "I'm good. Just want to go home", Anthony started to make sharp turns. "Damn, Mackie. Calm down.", he only laughed as I was holding onto the handles.
Anthony has the old models of where you push the passenger's and driver's seat back to get into the back seat.
It's interior was still looking brand new though.Anthony and Sebastian had the conversation. I would state my opinion whenever they asked but other than that, I stayed quiet until Anthony stopped in front of my house and did his usual gag.
He put his hand on my lap, "listen. I had a nice time tonight. Will I ever see you again?", I held down a laugh as I heard Sebastian snicker in the back. I playfully gazed into his eyes and lean in a bit then whisper, " Fuck no."
Sebastian busted out laughing.
Anthony just shook his head in playful sadness.
Anthony then smiled, "before you leave, you need to answer my question.", I rolled my eyes, knowing it already, " Yes. I will.", he smiled more, "nice now get the fuck out"*Prom*
Sebastian and his boyfriend was the only openly gay relationship in the school at the time.
Most people accepted them but some students and large number of staff and teachers didn't approve.
Which is why I kept my sexuality to myself most of the time.
I don't need that but Sebastian seems less bothered by those people.
But it was a huge thing when Sebastian's boyfriend publicly asked Sebastian if he wanted to go to prom with him which led to revealing Sebastian's sexuality.
The disappointed look on one girl's face who had bothered Sebastian about going out with her was priceless.
I replay it in my head whenever I feel down.Anthony said he wanted to go together as friends because he found out about every girl wanted a public scenery as if it was a marriage proposal. Anthony wasn't that type. You either go with him or not.
I went because Anthony convinced me. I regretted it.
I got ready and hear the doorbell, I open the door to see a very neat looking Anthony. "Wow, you look handsome.", I chuckled as he started to fix my suit, " Ready to go, Mr. Evans?", he took my hand and practically yanked me to his car.
