Date Night

First of all I would like to thank all of you for being very respectful with my last question. A lot of times ships can be a touchy subject, and can lead to conflict. So far though in all the comments I have seen we have all been very respectful, and it has been a judge free environment. I am so proud of all of us that we can all get along though, and none of that could have happened without your participation.

Todoroki's POV

I hold him tight while he continues to nap. He looks so peaceful like this, I wish he always looked like this. Maybe one day he will put his pride to the side, and finally relax. It's good to have dreams though right? Burying his face into me I can't help to smile. "Hey.. I have a surprise for you.." I whisper trying to wake the sleeping beauty. Knowing waking him is never a good idea I really think he will love this. "baby.." I whisper again as his eyes blink in the dim light. Mad as hell he starts growling, and burying his face again. "Just five more minutes.." he mutters as I chuckle to myself. Five more minutes will turn to an hour, and then it will just end up for the rest of the night. "Come on baby I promise you'll love it." I attempt to encourage him. This is something he won't want to miss. "fine damn it I'm up. What the hell is it?" He yawns waiting on me to continue. "It's outside..." I smile just thinking about it. This is going to be the perfect date night. Glancing over at the clock his face twists in confusion. "Are you stupid? I'm not getting locked out again." He sighs, but I have better plans. "Just trust me okay?" I smile grabbing onto his hands. He should know I would never put us through that again. "Then how are we going to get back in?" He raises an eyebrow as my smile grows wider. "That's the thing, we aren't getting back in." I smirk. I can't let him know the surprise so I can't go into any more details. "hmm I know that fucking look.." he laughs, but I'm one hundred percent positive that he's on board. We both pull on hoodies, and head out into the vacant hallway. Grabbing onto his hand I lead us down, peaking around every corner to watch for any pros. If they saw us out again they would probably throw a huge fit. Finally, we make it to the door, and luckily it hasn't been locked yet. "Alright, I'll give you a hint... We have to leave the school grounds." I whisper as we race to the gates. Sneaking out past curfew is one thing, but completely leaving the school grounds is another. Making our way into the streets the lights flood in all directions. The city is always awake, even at night. Bright neon signs light our path as we journey further. Suddenly, Bakugou stops and holds me back with him. "where the hell are you taking me?" He asks crossing his arms. Damn it if we don't hurry then we might miss it. "didn't I tell you to trust me? Just relax okay we're almost there." I grab his hand again, and at last his legs start to move. "you're lucky I love you..." He mutters as I drag him into the park. Usually at this time if you're in the park it's because you're homeless, but not in this case. I drag him further along till we are faced with the border of the forest. "you want me, to go in there? Huh your funny, or asking for a fucking death wish." He laughs. I'm starting to regret this, I should have known he would be like this. Not to mention he just woke up so that means he's extra grouchy. "oh quit being Oscar the grouch and follow me.." There is this spot in the woods that I've found that is perfect at night. When I used to live at home every time something bad would happen I would sneak off to here. It's beautiful, beyond beautiful and I just want to share it with him. Venturing further into the forest I light my flames to guide us through. The leaves crunch beneath our feet as I take him through a trail that hardly anyone has discovered. Before us a wall of leaves cover what's beyond, and I know we are here. "Okay, now close your eyes.." I turn to him smiling. The moonlight shines over him making him look practically glowing. Obediently he closes them, and allows me to guide him further on. Walking past the wall of leaves we arrive to a giant field filled with wild blue flowers, and a pond right in the middle of it. Soft tall grass covers the hill sides, and makes it a perfect place to lay back, and stare up at the stars. "Okay... Now open them." I stand back watching as his eyes go in all directions. The beauty of the place is truly breathtaking. The moonlight shines on the flowers making it look as though the entire forest is glowing. The bright colors bounce off the water of the pond making it look silver, and magical. Spinning around to get the full effect he still stands speechless. "This place is amazing Todo.." he finally says looking back to me. I am so glad that he likes it as much as I do. Running my hands through the tall grass lightning bugs light the sky surrounding the two of us in their bright yellow light. It's magical, it feels like we are in a fairytale. Pulling him close to me I bury my face in his soft blonde spikes. I really can't wait to spend the rest of my life with him. "Surprise! It isn't exactly dinner, but I was hoping this would be a good date night." I say as he holds me tight. Giving him a soft kiss, I break away to take a seat on the hill side. He takes a seat next to me, and for a moment we just sit in silence listening to the crickets chirp in the night. My hand entwines in his as we lay back staring at the stars. It's a clear night so they are all shining bright just for the two of us. "You truly are amazing, more amazing then anyone on this entire planet. You make me happy, and when I'm around you I can finally relax. Not just that, you actually care about me. Instead of material items, or fancy dinners you show me things that are important to you. You spend time with me even though this entire time I've been nothing but an asshole. I never imagined anyone could tame the beast, but you finally have." His grip tightens on my hand, and I can feel my heart starting to beat faster. I love it when we talk like this. Of course I like the dirty talk and all of the things that come after that, but sex isn't the only thing to a relationship. Sometimes it's just good to talk, and get to know each other more. "I'm glad that I could do that for you. I never pictured myself with anyone because I just block people out. I've never really experienced that much love in my life so I never knew how to show it to others. You've opened my eyes to a world that I've never seen before. A world that proves to me that I'm worth more then just my quirk. You give me the will to continue on with life no matter the hardships because I know at the end of the day I will always have you. No matter what happens good or bad you're always by my side, and I can never love you enough for that." I scoot closer to him, and start cuddling against his warm body. Tonight is the perfect night, it's calm, peaceful, and I have the best boyfriend by my side. After a few minutes I stand up reaching my hand to also help him. "I'm going to start making a fire. Do you want to help look for some decent sticks?" I ask already looking around. We search for a good while, but end up getting more then enough. I start the fire with my quirk, and watch as the wood quickly catches. We both take a seat next to it looking deep into the flames. "Will you sing me another song?" He asks leaning his head onto my shoulder. "Of course baby.." I whisper trying to think of a good one. I start to sing softly as he wraps his arms around my body. "Down in the forest we'll sing a chorus one that everybody knows... Hands held higher we'll be on fire, singing songs that nobody wrote.." I continue to sing watching as the fire burns on. I love singing to him, I've always wanted to but I never knew how he would react. I know he likes manly things, and singing doesn't qualify in the manly list. Ever since he heard me though he's asked me to sing for him. Feeling my body get warm, it feels like butterflies are just floating around in my stomach. I love this feeling, the feeling of having a lump in my chest, my face feeling hot, and just knowing that he loves me for me. Standing up again I hold my hands out to him. Confused he stands up, and gladly takes them. "I have a better idea.." I smile staring into his eyes. They're soft, and even look pure right now through the dark. "Remember those walls I built.. well baby they're tumbling down.. and they didn't even out a fight.. they didn't even make a sound.." I start singing while dancing us back and forth. His head lays into my chest as we continue to dance around in circles. "I found a way to let you win.. but I never really had a doubt.. standing in the light of your Halo, I got my angel now." We make our way into the tall grass spinning in circles as the lightning bugs light our bodies into the dark. "Everywhere I'm looking now.. I'm surrounded by your embrace.. baby I can see your Halo, you know you're my saving grace.." my arms go around his body pulling him closer as the world around us just fades away. "your everything I need and more.. it's written all over your face... Baby I can feel your Halo, pray it won't fade away..." I finally stop as we just stand perfectly still. Neither one of us wants this moment to end. "Baby I want to spend every second of this life with you, you know that right?" I whisper softly as his head nods. His face finally comes up, and his teary eyes meet mine. "Shoto, I love you so much. I know you know I love you, but no amount of words will ever be enough for me to describe it to you. You are the only one for me, and I never want to let you go. Please stay with me till the end. I know I'm not the best all of the time. I get grouchy, I get mean, and sometimes I know you could be with someone that could make all your dreams come true. I try my best to make you the happiest man alive, and even though at times it doesn't seem like it I would still do anything for you. I couldn't imagine living in this world without you in it. I'm just so terrified of losing you that it hurts. It haunts me in my dreams because I will never find anyone like you." Tears start to fall down his cheeks, and I gently wipe them away. I pet his head softly trying to reassure him. "Listen... I'm not going anywhere. You have all of my heart, and no one else will be taking it. I am yours, and yours only so you never have to be afraid of me leaving because I'm here for good." I kiss the top of his head softly. I can feel his heart beat going ninety miles an hour. Slowly I sit us back down beside the fire not letting him go for a second. "I'm glad you're having fun.." I smile as the embers continue to slowly burn. This has truly been the best date night. "Thank you.. for everything." He mumbles as we lay back in the grass. It's so soft it makes a perfect place to lay down, and the fire has been keeping it warm. "let's lay here tonight.." I whisper as he lays his head against my chest. The crickets continue to make soft music through the night keeping us company. "I was thinking the same thing.." he mutters closing his eyes. Holding onto him I listen to the music of the night, and drift into peaceful sleep.

So last chapter I don't think I credited the songs. So the first song in this chapter was "Forest by Twenty One Pilots" and then the second song was "Halo by Beyonce". Also, I had a lot of fun writing this chapter and I'm not entirely sure if I wrote one similar to this in the beginning, but it just makes me so relaxed writing about these things. A lot of the time when I write I use music to inspire me, or nature. So having the forest scene in this chapter really helped.
