∆ 1 MONTH LATER ∆

I rubbed my eyes, hearing multiple people shout outside. I blinked hard and flipped the covers over, exposing my bare chest.
I went into the living room and yawned. I heard the commotion louder. I looked out of the front window seeing Symphony confronting some lady. Trenton and Donna were outside too, and so was Trent's girlfriend who looked like she'd been crying. Curiously, I went outside while finger combing my hair out. It was bright, but not hot at all. The temperature was just right.
"That does not matter though ma'am. Control your son and teach him how to treat a girl my daughter is too good for whatever your son has going on---" The lady rambled.
"And what exactly does my son have going on ma'am?" I interjected casually.
"He's a dog." She rolled her eyes.
"Excuse me?!" Symphony put her hands on her hips.
"I didn't stutter. Now either y'all need to do something about this or I will." The lady said.
"Look, how about we drop all of the disrespect and just talk about this together like adults, okay?" I suggested.
"Oh shut up, you're no better I assume. The boy had to get his stuff from somewhere." The lady scoffed. I stared at her blankly.
"I want you to realize that you have luck on your side because if you were a man, I swear." I began to laugh to myself.
"Don't talk to my dad like that lady." Trenton said.
"Trent do not talk to my mom, period!" Alexandria cried. I squinted.
"Don't come at my brother like that Alex." Donna said.
"Do not come at my daughter like that child." The woman said and rolled her eyes.
"Or what?" Donna scoffed. "You nor your daughter will do a daaaammmnnnn thing." She rolled her eyes and turned her shoulder. Damn my daughter had my attitude, it was so cute. I chuckled. The lady turned Donna back around by her shoulder.
"Um excuse me!" Symphony raised her voice and pushed her back. "Nobody touched you, don't touch her."
"You really need to teach your kids some home training because they are all out of line." The woman said.
"Look lady. Your ass wants to come here this morning starting stuff with my family, coming disrespectful as hell. Nobody did a damn thing to you. Whatever happened between your daughter and my son is between them. Do you understand?" Symphony said.
"I understand. I just wanted to make you understand how horrible of parents you are. Who the hell raises a son that acts like he loves a girl that's head over heels for him, but goes around sleeping with different women behind her back for over a month?" She rolled her eyes. "If you couldn't have been better parents and show your child better, you shouldn't have had them. Rather than bringing them into the world and having another kid pay for their wrong doings."
"Bitch if I didn't wanna have my son then I wouldn't have! He knows wrong from right, he's an amazing son! Maybe your daughter just isn't what he thought she was or he just isn't into her anymore. Ever think of that?!"
"You speak of your daughter so highly. Did you know your daughter screwed the whole football and basketball team?" Donna chuckled. Alexandria's mother's mouth gaped to the sound of the news.
"Shut up Donna!" Alexandria screeched and charged after Donna, tackling her to the ground. Donna hit her over and over in the eye. My eyes widened.
Donna broke free from Alexandria's grasp and tackled her by locking her arms around her gut. She scratched at her face and punched her over and over again in the jaw. My eyes widened. Yeah, definitely my daughter, I thought.
The mother yanked Donna my her hair and pushed her off. I scowled. This bitch really just touched my daughter.
"Yo!" Trenton yelled, walking over
"Don't fucking touch her!" I yelled. Symphony went over to her and smacked the cold water spit out of her. She deliberately kneed her in the nose, blood oozing out rapidly. She lifted her by her collar and they grabbed each other by the hair. Symphony quickly put her in a lock and began to hit her, left right left right. My eyes bugged. The woman began to obtain a black eye. Alexandria was still on the ground asleep.
The lady got on top and they began to claw each other's face. Symphony wrapped her hands tightly around her throat and pressed tighter and tighter each second. She began to reach for a rock that was in the yard. I quickly walked over and grabbed her by the shirt and slung her off. She gasped for air. I grabbed Donna.
"Get the fuck off of my yard!" Symphony yelled as she wiped blood off of her face. The lady got on the phone. "Sorry you had to see that." She sighed.
"No it's... cool. I figured you could carry your own. I think it's kinda sexy." I mumbled. She blushed. "Heads up though I think she's on the phone with the police. And them. And them." I said, noticing the neighbors who'd came outside. And for sure, police came about 5 minutes later. Trenton began to pace. They came up to the woman first, then another car came and began to question the neighbors. One walked up to me.
"Good evening sir." He said.
"Hey."
"So, what's been going down this morning? Its early, you look like you just got out of bed yourself." He chuckled.
"Yeah, I woke up to the commotion outside and I've been trying to just stop all the drama and stuff, you know?" I shrugged.
"I understand. Women will be women." He chuckled. I smirked and nodded. "But I'd like to talk to you about the outcomes of this situation. Donna will not be charged or sent anywhere, because every aspect questioned said she was attacked first. On the other hand, Symphony will have a fine and will not be released until her fine is paid."
"Wait why the hell--the lady put her hands on my daughter and she was only protecting her."
"But considering the fact that she's only your daughter specifically, not hers, it's going to be charged as battery. We're not going to make you guys go to court or go through any of that so we can avoid a sentence. But Alexandria's mother will be charged with battery as well, trespassing as with her daughter."
"It's basically like giving her a sentence, man. I just got done with a divorce and had to give up half of everything. I'm still in the middle of bringing up my family and getting afloat man, does it really have to go this way?" I asked.
"If things went the way I specifically wanted them to go, it wouldn't have to but legally, yes they do. I'm sorry sir. Her fine is going to have to be set at $1,000." He said. I exhaled loudly.
"You don't think that's a bit much, man? You're serious $1,000?" I squinted. He wrote on paper and handed it to me. I gritted my teeth together. Symphony ran up and hugged me.
"Kyjuan don't let them take me, please." She cried.
"I...I--" I began, helpless. She grabbed my sides and hugged me, crying on my bare chest.
"I was just trying to help!" She cried. I rubbed her head. Her cries made my heart sink and my eyes stung.
"I know, I know, you did nothing wrong." I said. She lifted her face and looked in my eyes. "Look, I gotta come up with a thousand dollars so I can get you back, okay? It'll be done in no time, I promise baby." I said, voice shaking. Wait, did I just call her....
An officer came behind her and began to handcuff her. She winced.
"Hey man, not so tight!" I called.
"Mom!" Trenton and Donna called, sadly. I couldn't believe Donna was calling her Mom. They both began to cry.
"I love you!" She called, complying with the officer. We all called the same back. They put her in the back seat and shut the door. A tear fell from my eye. Alexandria and her mother were taken in the other car. I pressed my fingers over the bridge of my nose and went into the house.
"Dad!" Donna called after me, crying.
"Yes?" I replied softly, laying on the couch.
"When is Symphony going to be back?" She sniffed.
"As soon as I find a way to come up with a thousand dollars." I mumbled. I went into her drawer and began to roll up. Afterward, I locked all of the doors and put on a movie and began to smoke.
Trenton came back into the living room and gave me a hug.
"She'll be home before you even realize it." He said, making eye contact with me.
"Not before I realize that I don't have a grand yet." I sighed. He rolled his eyes.
"Trust me." He said seriously. "I'll be back later."
"Hold on," I began before he walked out of the door. "Overall, what the hell was Alexandria so upset about?" I asked.
"I slept with a couple females." He shrugged.
"Oh?" I said, not sure how to respond.
"Yeah. Like, maybe over 15 since we've been together." He said.
"Well shit, I'd be mad too. You're just like how I was when I was deeper into females when I was 17. No pun intended." I chuckled. He smirked. "Doesn't necessarily mean it's right, but do what you feel you gotta do for you. If you need to talk I'm here." I said. He smiled warmly and left.
I relaxed, numbing the pain. I began to think of all of our memories specifically.
When we met in the second grade, in the middle of splitting gram crackers. How I usually let her have most of mine and how we scooted our desks right by each other's every day and sat together at lunch. Even played together every day at P.E., and when some kid made her fall from the monkey bars and scrape her knee and cry I beat him up and put sand in his mouth and got suspended for a week. About elementary school memories like field day, when I'd let her win certain games on purpose. Middle school, where people would always call us 'cute' because they swore we dated because we were so close all the time, and when Calvin and I met in middle school.
Memories of the summer before we started high school, whenever Me, Symphony, Calvin and Kiara went to Big Kahuna's about 100 times over the summer, and the weird moment that Neither Symphony nor I has told anyone about, let alone discuss it between us.
There was a time at the water park when we both ended up seeing each other by the changing rooms, the girl's and boy's rooms were across from each other. The time leading up to us going there, Symphony had been with my sister and I was with Calvin in different sections of the park.
I went into the changing room to take a piss and rinse the sand out of my hair and on my skin and as I was coming out, Symphony was using the outdoor shower. I stopped quietly, she was so thin but her assets were developed. I watched as the water ran down her face and boobs, down her back and stomach, moistening the front and back of her bikini bottoms, and trailed down her smooth legs. I stared, licking my lips. This was about 2 months after Calvin and I started selling, and a week after I lost my virginity.
She turned the water off and I adjusted myself as if I were just casually there.
'Oh! Hey!' she said and smiled. I looked over to her.
'Hey.' I said.
'Enjoying the view?' She asked, drying herself off. I gulped.
'Uh y--yeah it's a um...a nice day out.' I nodded and gave a fake smile. She smiled back.
'Yeah, it feels great. It's so much fun here.' She said, fixing her bikini strap. Her nipples poked out, and with how wet her bikini was, it was beginning to stick to her skin. There was still droplets of water dripping down her body. I got a boner so fast. I crossed my hands over my dick.
'Yeah I agree.' I said. She shook out her wavy dropping hair and looked over and smiled at me. She walked over to me, just inches from my face. I looked around awkwardly.
'You don't have to stand like you're my body guard, Kyjuan.' She giggled, placing her hand on my forearm.
'Yeah I do.' I said quickly.
'You don't.'
'Do.'
'Don't!' She laughed, moving my hands, but feeling a hard area brush against her hand. She gasped softly and moved her hand back, looking down.
'Shit.' I said silently to myself.
'I'll take your advice more often, maybe you do.' She chuckled. My face burned with embarrassment.
'I'm sorry, I---' I started.
'Shhh.' She smiled. She gave me a kiss on the cheek and let her hand trail down my arm and she grabbed my junk. 'Just watch your nuts little squirrel.' She winked and smirked. I wanted to make out with her so bad right then. 'I better not leave your sister hanging.' She began to walk off. I was in a daze staring at her ass as it bounced as she walked off. As soon as she was out of eye view I snapped out of it and rinsed my hair.
There was another time during high school, 9th grade when she lost her mother. Her dad murdered her mother and he got life in top security prison, so she stayed at her aunt's, who was never home. Gram actually let her stay the night the same night the whole thing happened. We ended up making out that night, which was while I was actually talking with Mona. Mona doesn't know that though, to this day. I don't see it as too much of a bad thing, we weren't even together yet. We were just showing mutual interest at the time.
'What are you doing?' I asked as Symphony put blankets and a pillow on the floor by my bed.
'I'm about to lay down.' She said.
'Not on the floor you're not.' I said. She scoffed.
'Why not?' She asked.
'Because it's the floor and gee do you really not want to be in bed with me?' I said sadly.
'No, it's not like that.'
'Then c'mon.' I scooted over and lied down. She brought her things onto the bed and got under the blanket.
'I'm sorry that I--' She started after a brief silence.
'Don't... be. Everything's fine.' I said. She'd been referring to having to stay the night and taking up space or something.
She nodded and sighed. She laid on her side that made her face opposite of me and she relaxed. I just stared, clueless.
'I'm really gonna love staying with my Aunt and cousins.' She said sarcastically.
'At least she agreed to let you stay the night tonight. Your cousin Anthony seems like an interesting guy.' I chuckled at the thought of meeting her cousin. Then I remembered his murder on the news just weeks ago.
'Yeah.' She chuckled. I lifted my arm, attempting to cuddle her.
'May I?' I asked. She looked at my arm.
'Yeah.' She replied. I embraced her over her side. She slowly put her hand over mine. 'I'm still trying to take all of this in.'
'I know. It's gonna take a minute to settle and shit. The pain won't fade but it'll change you and make you stronger.' I said. She looked at me.
'Well at least you're honest.' She said softly. 'I just feel stuck, where do I go now? For years I've just been locked into this... dark and depressing world.'
'You go wherever your heart takes you.' I yawned.
'Are you tired?' She asked.
'A bit.' I sighed. She nodded.
'Oh. Goodnight.' She said. I chuckled.
'Goodnight.' I replied. She turned around on her opposite side so her arm would go around me and her head would be on my chest. I'll never forget how strong my feeling to protect her has been since that moment.
I looked over to her laying on my right side. Her wavy hair fell over her face and her eyelashes curled up as her eyelids rested.
'Symph?' I whispered.
'Hmm?' She sighed. My heart beat a million times a minute. I grabbed her jawline and pressed my lips against hers. She didn't resist. I slid my hand down her thigh and climbed on top of her as we began to make out harder. After about 45 seconds of rubbing, kissing and grabbing, we both pulled away.
"I'm always gonna protect you." I said. She slowly smiled. Time began to pass and I started thinking of sex flashbacks. Thinking of the tiny droplets on her forehead and images of her biting her lip. The smoothness of her chocolate skin, the smell of flowers and sweets her body possessed, how soft her wavy hair was, her perfect teeth, her sexy lips, her beautiful eyes, her soft and caressing moans, that amazing laugh, that angelic smile....
I was partially blown away because for as long as we've known each other we've only done it twice now. Something has always been off, though. I wasn't sure what it was. We've always pretty much had something there for each other outside of friendship, we've just never been together. Or we've always been with others. I wasn't sure what the issue was though, as to why we've never been together. There was just a tiny... hump before getting to that point.
Why was I thinking of this stuff now, though? I couldn't get her face and her smile out of my head. It couldn't have been what I thought it was.
