{Trenton}
I rolled over, moving Donna's wrist from my forehead. 8:16am the clock read.
I looked around, seeing Dad asleep in the bed and Mom up watching Tyra Banks.
"Good morning." She said. I cleared my throat.
"Good morning." I replied. I got up slowly, running my fingers through my hair.
"You want something to eat?" She asked.
"Uh, yeah sure." I said nervously. She got up and went into the kitchen area.
"Your dad went and got a bunch of breakfast and made a run to the house. Looks like everything there is okay." She said, putting Dad's tshirt on and grabbing me a sausage biscuit and a hash brown. "We have to go make a couple of runs in a few hours so I wanted to let him sleep."
"Runs? Where are you guys going?" I said after biting into my sausage biscuit.
"Bills for one, he needed to talk to Kiara as well." She said. She got a hash brown too and sat by me. "Look. These past 2 days have been something insane. I don't want you to feel like it's changed anything between us. Yes, I'm a bit shocked. But it doesn't change the fact that you're still my baby boy and regardless the amount of shit you get in I'll be right there at your side. I swear, you are just like your father." I rolled her eyes. I chuckled.
"Nothing to be ashamed of." I shrugged, devouring my breakfast. She smiled.
"You're right. But you should get up soon. You and your sister. Keep watch on each other." She said, standing up. "Especially since we'll be gone."
"Do you think that's the best move right now?" I asked.
"It may not be the best but at the same time we're not going to make your Aunt's house a target. As long as we're keeping an eye out we should be fine. We won't be long at all." She said, comfortingly. I nodded slowly. Danna jumped suddenly in her sleep.
"Mmm," She groaned and stretched. I smacked her thigh.
"Damn, you're pushing me off of the bed." I sucked my teeth. Mom smacked my arm.
"Watch your mouth." She said. She then went to go wake Dad up. Donna hurried over to the breakfast, hair poking up everywhere. She groaned loudly as she ate.
"Is it good Donna?" Dad chuckled and asked. She nodded quickly and took another enormous bite. Dad shook his head and got in the shower. I watched TV and Mom got dressed behind a dressing curtain. After Dad got out, he ate and brushed his teeth and Mom and him headed out.
"Im gonna invite Tyler over." Donna said after getting out of a over extended shower.
"Uh no you're not." I said. "What part of hiding out do you not understand?"
"Still, I wanna just be in his presence." She said, beginning to blowdry her hair.
"Rich. Didn't you use to hate the guy when you two first met?" I squinted.
"A little but, that's the past." She said in a dreamy tone.
"I'm gonna get sick." I rolled my eyes. "I'm gonna hop in the pool though, look how sunny it is outside." I said, getting up and walking into the bathroom. I hopped into the shower.
Afterward, I threw shorts on and slid on a pair of slides and grabbed my towel, a tshirts, and a green and red jacket. Donna emerged from behind me in a pink bikini.
"If you plan on going I suggest you change." I said.
"You're not Dad nor Mom, I'll be okay in this. Thank you though." She said, putting on white sunglasses. Her light brown hair was spiral curled and she laid her edges and did her makeup. The pink color of her bikini looked nice with her creme skin, along with the white polka dots. It just exposed too much.
She put on matching pink flip flops and a thick layer of lip gloss.
"Are you ready yet your highness?" I yawned. I looked at the clock that now read 12:27pm. She walked by me with her towel in her hand. I rolled my eyes and we went behind her, locking the door behind us.
Donna grabbed a magazine from the tables that were by the beach chairs that alligned the perifery of the long sides of the pool and lounged on the beach chair, all of which were under beach umbrellas. I dropped my towel, phone, t-shirt, jacket, and room key on the beach chair by Donna's.
"Are you not gonna get in?" I asked.
"Uh no? I just did my hair and my makeup." She said.
"Then why the hell--okay." I said, saving myself the frustration. I cannon balled into the pool and let myself float. I shut my eyes, feeling the heat from the sun sizzle into my pores. I submerged under water and began to swim around everyone. I swam back by Donna and began to splash her with water.
"Trent stop it!" She whined. I chuckled and kept splashing her. A gleam from the side of my left eye made me wince and look in that direction. I paused.
"Damn." I whispered as I stared. There was this gorgeous female white even brown skin, blonde hair, and a pleasant look. I peeked back at Donna as she became absorbed into the magazine. I swam to the end of the pool where her seat was. She dried off with her towel and drank from a yellow flower looking cup. I just paused and stared at her for some reason.
