I woke up on something soft,I looked around the unfamiliar room.

I remembered that I had heard my brother name before I lost consciousness.

My excitement took the best of me as I stood up.

I screamed hissing in pain as I tried to stand up.

Quickly someone rushed inside the room.

Are you okay,he asked with concern in his eyes.

I looked at the person standing in front of me and I couldn't contain my joy.

I hugged him ignoring all the pains that shoots through my body.

Derek,is this really you,I cried.

Yes Carl,its me,he hugged me.

I smiled at the nickname he usually calls me.

Where's dad,I asked fearing the worst.

He is where he should have been,he clutched his fist.

I nodded in understanding knowing what he meant.

I took a good look at my brother and he wasn't the Derek I knew,he had gotten bigger and muscular.

He wasn't that little Derek anymore,he was a full grown man.

He smiled as he pulled me into another hugged.

I hissed out in pain and he quickly let go of me.

I'm sorry for leaving you,he said with guilt in his eyes.

Why did you leave,I sniffed wiping away the few tears that fallen from my eyes.

I..I couldn't handle it Carl,mum died and I had to leave,I thought you would be happy with dad,I didn't know he was abusing you,if i knew I would have come back for you sooner, I'm sorry,he apologized.

I didn't care if he left me,I was happy to have my brother back again.

My sister is looking all grown up now,he smirked.

I hit his arm playfully as he laughed.

Who owns this place,I asked looking around the house.

Mum handed it to me before she died,he smiled.

I smiled sadly at him,me and my mum were close but she was more closer to Derek.

She said I should give you this,he smiled handing me a box.

I took it from him and opened it.

Lying inside the box was a necklace.

It was the one she always wore and I remember I would admire the necklace every time she put it on.

She gave it to me,I took out the necklace from the box not believing my eyes.

Yes,she wanted you to have it and she wanted me to tell you that, she would always be with us even if she was gone,Derek said.

Can you..help me put it on,I said.

Derek smiled putting it around my neck.

I smiled looking at the necklace and I somehow felt connected to my mum again.

Thank you,I whispered.

Come,let's get you something to eat while you tell me everything that has happened since I left.

so you mean dad did all that to you,Derek asked angrily as I told him everything that dad did to me.

I nodded my head,I hate replaying those memories in my head,it was a bitter memories I don't wish to remember.

I'm so sorry Carl,Derek hugged me.

So any special someone, he winked at me.

I knew he was trying to lighten the mood but he didn't know he only made it worst.

There's.. There's no one,I lied.

Really?,he smirked.

I'm just going to lie down,I told him as I got up.

I didn't even make it to my bed before I burst into tears.

Carl,are you okay, my brother asked coming inside the room.

I hugged him hiding my face on his chest,I knew I was wetting his clothes,but I didn't care.

Please don't cry, I'm here for you now,he pleaded.

I could feel my eye lid closing and I didn't stop them.

I let my eyes close as the darkness consume me.

Mum,i asked in shock as I saw my mum standing in front of me.

She was wearing the same clothes she wore when she died at the hospital.

Yes my baby jewelry, she smiled.

But...but you died,I asked confused.

I did but I didn't die,I still live inside of you,she said.

I couldn't believe I was actually talking with my mum right now.

I hugged her,she was still beautiful even in death.

Mum,you have to come home with me,I pleaded.

She chuckled.

I can't baby,I belong here,she placed her hands on my cheeks.

Then let me stay here with you,let me come with you,I begged her.

She looked at me and her eyes were filled with tears.

You do not belong here,your brother needs you,Reid needs you,she smiled.

How..how did you know,I asked shocked.

I live in you my baby jewelry, I know everything.

So you knew.. About dad,I asked.

She nodded her head with tears rolling down her cheeks.

I'm sorry my dear child,I'm sorry you had to go through that, she cried.

I decided that maybe she knew how Reid was doing now.

Mum,do you know how Reid is doing ,I asked hoping for something positive.

I do not know, but I fear the worst,she sigh.

What do you mean mum,I asked.

There are questions I cannot answer,she said.

Mum,I called as I saw that she was fading away.

What should I do mum,I cried running after her.

Follow your heart my baby girl,and find the happiness you desire,do not let time run out,she smiled.

I cried as she completely fade away.

I was standing alone lost and I didn't even know how to get back.

My eyes opened quickly to see my brother worried face.

I saw mum,I saw her,I cried.

It's okay,it was a dream,he patted my hair.

I have to see him,I told my brother.

Who?,he asked confused.

Reid, I need to know if he was okay,I cried.

Soon Carl,you will see him soon.

I remembered mum words.

Carol mum appeared to her in her dream.
