CHAPTER TWO

Dreams Horizon, the name of my friend's coffee shop. Emerald, my girl best friend and the owner, told me that it has a meaning. Something which I expected, of course. Horizon, the line where the earth seemed to meet the sky. It was named Dreams Horizon because in that horizon, aside from the meeting line everyone see, Emerald saw it as a finish line to achieve her dreams... to achieve people's dreams. However, when you reached the place you thought its limit, you will eventually see another horizon. That's when you accomplish your dream and plan to achieve another.

When I asked her a simple explanation, this is what she told me:

This is one of their horizons. This place will witness their hardships and this is where they will plan for another milestone of their lives."

I checked my listed errands. One last thing left—work. I prepared myself in less than thirty minutes and arrived at the workplace earlier than my duty. The aroma of the coffee and the sweet song of the band welcomed me.

I missed this scenario. It's been two days since I last went here at ang pagod na mayroon ako kanina ay nawawala na.

In this workplace, people knew me as Sweet Milan and not as Cassie Lopez, my screen name as an actress. Since the public doesn't know my full name, I used it as my front. Only Emerald knows my identity.

She's all smile when talking to people.

I saw wooden tables and chairs arranged accordingly under modern indoor lighting fixtures as I roamed my eyes around. There were bookshelves for bookworms and charging area for laptops and phones. We spotted a college student who's probably busy doing a written output. A bad impression has already formed in my mind.

Compared to my height, Jessica was smaller a few inches, but we looked having the sams height when she's wearing heels. Her skin was a little tan.
