have you ever felt a lump in your throat when you try to argue with yourself about "not being good enough"? having to have to picture and imagine yourself being loved by someone and be their one and only— then they left you questioning your self-worth, you find them, falling out of it. out of what you ask? out of Love.
i— i used to think and felt that falling in love was the day you found someone who helped you find the missing puzzle piece, that was holding back your heart. you let yourself, breath in a new place and everything seems so— beautiful. you never thought you'd seen the world in someone else perspective and the Second you feel like the world is yours— they took it away from you. they took everything you ever felt right including, yourself. you used to believe in it now there's nothing. to believe in anymore.
where is your heart? where did you left it? it isn't— there anymore.
hold your chest, clutch it, you can't feel it beating cus you know why?
you gave it all away.
you gave yourself away.
you are left with an empty cocoon.
left with a big void in your chest,
where your heart used to be.love was suppose to make you feel at ease, a safe place where you can be happy and be yourself.
now it feels like a prison.
trapped in a never ending cycle.
who were you when you still have your heart?
when your heart was beating;
when your chest was so full of love?i gave up on myself.
like how i gave up my heart.i have none left.
i have no soul left to destroy,
tell me,
would you lie to me?
if i ask you to say you love me?then again,
you can't break something that's
already broken.
fell apart,
and shattered into pieces.
