Amber and Bucky were walking down the street from another date at Pops, it was dark the only light was the dim glow of the tall lamps. Amber's body tensed up as she saw another flyer about the war that was going on overseas, she tried to ignore it thinking that the United States wasn't going to get involved, but it was everywhere she looked. "Doll you alright?" Bucky asked, he felt her body tense, "Hmm? Oh I'm fine" she dismissed, "Amber?" he asked again, "Bucky I'm fine. Thank you for tonight, it was a blast!" she giggled, "I had fun too" Bucky smiled, they were halfway back to the house when Amber heard a wolf whistle. "How you doing darling?" someone called out at her, Amber pulled her jacket closer around her with her free hand. "What did you just say to my girl?" Bucky asked as he spun around to face the man, Oh no, Amber thought. "I was just asking her how she was doing, being so pretty and all" the guy said, his drunken native New York accent was thick. "I'm sure you don't need to shout it at her!" Bucky confidently said, "How else am I supposed to get the pretty gal's attention?" the guy casually shrugged as he stepped closer to them. "Oh, I don't know, perhaps not being an ass would get you more attention" Amber snapped, the guy's eyes darkened "What did you just call me?" he threateningly asked, "An ass" Amber repeated, and she had a fair point. The man raised his fist ready to strike but Bucky was faster, after a few punches and kicks the man ran off in the opposite direction. "Are you okay?" Amber worried, "Yeah doll I'm fine" he said, Amber reached up and gently grazed her thumb over his sore jaw. "You shouldn't have hit him" Amber chided, "You shouldn't have kicked him" Bucky retorted, "I was defending you" Amber said, "And I was defending you. He shouldn't have cat called you." Bucky angrily said, but all that anger faded when Amber kissed his sore jaw, "Two wrongs don't make a right. But thank you"
