Amber paced back n' forth in her living room, tonight was her first date with Bucky and to say that she was nervous would be an understatement. "Darling if you keep pacing like that you'll burn a track in the floor" her mother told her with a small smile on her lips. "I'm sorry, I'm nervous" she replied as she sat down next to her brother who was reading the newspaper. "Why are you so nervous?" Steve asked his sister, "What if the date goes wrong? What if that ruins our friendship and then it makes it strange for him to be around and he stops coming over all together" Amber said spilling all her worries. "Amber you have no reason to be nervous, Bucky adores you" Steve assured his sister, hearing the doorbell ring Amber's heart sped up with excitement. "I'll go get the door" Steve said, giving his sister's hand one last squeeze before getting up. Smoothing out her skirt Amber walked up to the front door to see Steve and Bucky engaged in a conversation. "Ahem" she coughed, Bucky's eyes went wide as they trailed from Steve to Amber who stood a few feet away, "Do I look alright?" she asked, "Amber you look beautiful" Bucky complimented as he kissed her knuckles. "Have fun you two" Steve said, kissing her brother's cheek Amber and Bucky were about to leave when her mother called out to them. "Ma? Is everything okay?" Amber asked, "You promise to keep her safe?" Mrs Rogers asked, it wasn't that she didn't trust Bucky but dangers still lurked around dark corners and her kids were all Mrs Rogers had left after her husband died. "I promise Mrs Rogers, she's safe with me" Bucky told her mother, nodding her head Mrs Rogers turned back to her previous task. Linking her arm around his own, the two walked off to enjoy the night.

After a nice dinner at Amber's favorite shope, Bucky covered her eyes for their next surprise. "Bucky! Where are we going?" Amber whined, "Just trust me" he laughed, letting out a huff Amber pouted out her bottom lip. After what seemed like forever, which was only a few blocks, Bucky removed his hands to show Amber the next part of their date... Rocky's Rollerblade Arena. "You know I'm terrible at rollerblading" Amber giggled, "Which is why I brought you here" Bucky laughed, "Come on!" he said taking her hand the two rushed inside. "Bucky... I don't know about this..." she trailed off, "Here. Give me your hands" doing as he said Bucky carefully helped Amber stand up on her skates, "Now are you ready?" he ask helping her roll closer to the arena. "I think so" she said. Bucky stepped onto the smooth hardwood floor first, "Alright doll now you" taking a deep breath Amber stepped out onto the floor, squeezing her eyes shut she braced herself to fall. "Amber... open your eyes" Bucky chuckled, slowly opening her eyes Amber cracked a large smile seeing she wasn't on the ground. "Bucky! I'm not on the ground!" Amber squealed in delight, "I'm proud of you doll! Now skate to me" he told her, Amber pushed herself off the wall and let herself roll into Bucky's arms. "How was that?" she cutely asked him, as she looked up at him through her eyelashes. "Not bad" he laughed, After a few more lessons from Bucky, Amber was able to roll around the arena fairly well. "Alright doll, you ready to go on your own?" Bucky asked, "Sure... wait, what?!" by the time Amber had processed what Bucky had told her it was too late, Bucky had rolled out in front of her letting her skate to him. "Wait! Bucky I can't stop!" she panicked as she harshly rolled into him sending both of them to the ground. Laughing Amber rolled off of Bucky letting him get up first before he helped her, "I'm so sorry" Amber laughed, "No worries doll, I figured it was going to happen anyway" he replied earning a smack to the arm, "I think that's enough skating for one night" Amber said, "I agree" Bucky chuckled as he rolled off the rink, "Bucky" turning around Amber still stood where she was on the rink, "I'm afraid to move" she told him making Bucky shake his head and roll back out. "You're cute" Bucky told her as he helped her roll off the rink.

Arriving back at her house Bucky and Amber were laughing about the time Amber punched a man in the face and broke her hand as a result. "I still cannot believe you did that" Bucky laughed remembering how tough Amber tried to show she was. "Well I wasn't going to wait for someone to save me" she huffed but a smile graced her lips, "You won't have to" Bucky told her. "On a more current note, thank you for the wonderful night" Amber said, "My pleasure but I have one last question for you" Amber's silence encouraged him to go on, "Would you officially like to be my girl?" Amber's smile broadened, "I would love nothing more" she replied kissing his cheek.
