Steve's miracle entry to the war

For their last night before leaving, Steve, Amber and Bucky decided to go to a science fair that was in town. Amber had brought along one of her friends to accompany her brother, "Where are they?" Amber's friend Melody asked, she was about to respond when she saw her handsome fiance walking towards her in his military uniform, Steve by his side. "Bucky! Steve!" Amber giggled as she hugged both boys. "Steve this is Melody, Melody this is my twin brother Steve" Amber introduced, hearing the announcement over the p.a. System, Amber and Melody squealed in delight. "Come on it's starting!" Melody gasped as she dragged Amber towards the stage, Amber had grabbed Bucky's hand who reached out and grabbed Steve. Suddenly the stage went dark and a man appeared, that man happened to be the one and only Howard Stark, the big heartthrob of their time. All the girls began to scream and reach out towards the stage in hopes of touching the famous billionaire, "These girls are khaki wacky" Amber noted, as she rolled her eyes and snuggled closer into Bucky's hold. While the three of them were caught up in Stark's show, Steve had snuck off to once again try and enlist in the army. 

Once the show had ended everyone was in laughter and surprise from the inventions Howard Stark had shown. "Hey Steve, why don't we take these girls danc.... Steve?" Bucky asked not seeing his best friend anywhere near. "Three guesses where" Amber muttered as she pointed over to the enlisting tent. While Bucky went up to talk to her brother, Amber and Melody gushed about the Stark show, well Melody mainly gushed about the handsome Howard Stark. Bucky walked back to them by himself while Steve stayed put at the enlistment tent, "Let me talk to him" Amber said, "Take Melody over to the dance hall and I'll meet you there" Amber softly said, "But--" "That's an order sergeant" Amber playfully said, "Yes ma'am" Bucky laughed. "Are we going or what?" Melody asked, leaning down Bucky sweetly pecked Amber's lips before taking Melody down to the dance hall. Walking up to the registration Amber politely asked for the direction in which her brother went, the nurse didn't seem to care much and sent her behind the tent where half naked men were waiting to be examined. "Oh my gosh!" she gasped as she covered her eyes, doing her best to keep her gaze on the floor. "Amber? What are you doing here?" she heard Steve ask, looking up her brother was standing at a desk talking to what she assumed was a doctor, though he wasn't wearing a white coat. "I came to get you. What do you think you're doing?" she asked ignoring the fact that there was another person there, before Steve could respond a German accent cut in. "Excuse me, you know this man?" "Yes I do, he's my twin brother" Amber replied, "Who are you?" she curiously asked, "I am doctor Abraham Erskine" the man introduced. "You say that you two are twins?" Doctor Erskine asked gesturing between the two of them, "Yes" they reply in unison. "Interesting" he hummed, Amber looked over to see that Doctor Erskine had signed off on Steve's enlistment papers. "You're letting him into the army?" Amber asked with a slight angry tone, "You're brother is just the man I've been looking for to use for my project. However now that you mention the fact that you are twins, the project could use you as well Miss" the doctor said, "What kind of project is this?" Amber curiously asked, not for herself but for her brother's sake. "It's a super soldier serum, it enhances the body's abilities." the doctor explained, "I'm doing this" Steve confirmed and Amber sighed, "Whatever my brother goes through, I go through." Amber said, Steve gave her a bright smile, "I will see you both in a few weeks." "I cannot believe you managed to do this" Amber muttered, however Steve didn't care, he was going to get what he always wanted, to stop bullies.
