Final Fight

In their final attempt to take down Hydra and win the war, everyone had ganged up, they used every soldier man and any woman who dared to join them which was only Peggy. Steve and Amber tackled their way inside Hydra's base in search for Dr Zola and the Red Skull, "Steve get down!" Amber shouted as she shoved her brother out of the way of a gunshot, quickly holding her shield up the bullet bounced off her shield and flew back hitting the shooter. "Quickly! This way!" a familiar british voice said, the doors were closing so Steve threw his shield so that it stopped the doors leaving enough room for him and Amber to squeeze threw, grabbing his shield the two doors rapidly shut. "The red skull has taken a plane, we can still get you on board but we have to hurry" Peggy panted as she lead the two super soldiers in the direction of the hangar.

The plane was already too far ahead for Amber and Steve to catch up to on foot, "Get in!" Colonel Phillips shouted as he pulled up in one of Hydra's cars, not hesitating Steve helped Peggy and his sister into the car before getting in the passenger seat next to the Colonel. Using his heavy foot the Colonel was able to catch up to the plane, "We gotta jump!" Amber shouted over the roar of the plane's engine, shakily standing up Steve held his hands out for Amber to step into, grunting Steve lifted her into the air, Amber reached out and grabbed the tire rail right next to an opening in the cargo. "Steve!" Amber shouted, the wheels were lifting up leaving little time for her brother to jump, just as he was about to, Peggy grabbed him by the collar of his suit and kissed him. "Go get him" she said as Steve jumped from the car and onto the plane with his sister. "Finally" she commented with a large grin on her face, it was the first time in weeks that they had smiled. "Shush" Steve scolded but a smile graced his lips as well. 

Sneaking through the plane Amber and her brother noticed bombs filled the cargo, each bomb had a written location on it, and one of them was for New York. Amber and Steve held up their shields as they made their way towards the front of the plane. Amber nudged her brother seeing the tesseract in the middle of the pilots cockpit, before they could reach it, the two twins were tossed aside. Throwing her shield the red skull deflected it but that didn't stop Amber from getting up and swinging a punch, soon Steve and Amber were fighting like a well oiled machine. When one got knocked down or pushed away, the other retaliated with a hit and so the cycle went on. Suddenly a large hole was torn in the ship sucking everything and everyone through it, Red skull was gone but Amber's grip on a railing was slipping. "Steve!" she panicked, just as her fingers were ready to slip Steve grabbed her wrist and pulled her back up, the two staggered over to the pilot's seat. Back from the Hydra base, Colonel Phillips was able to patch a radio through allowing him to talk to Amber and Steve, hearing Steve's voice Peggy shoved the Colonel out of the way. "Steve?" Peggy's voice asked, Amber could hear the pain and fear through the radio, Amber knew that her brother and herself weren't going to make it through this. "Peggy... we gotta put her in the water" Steve told her, looking up at his sister Amber gave him a sad smile but placed a comforting hand on his shoulder. "No Steve we can find you a place to land you'll be safe. You and Amber. Please, don't do this." Peggy said trying her best to convince him otherwise but Steve had his mind made. Steve continued to talk to Peggy as if he were coming back when the nose of the plane hit the ice covered water, the impact sent Amber and Steve flying back, the plane filled with water as it sunk leaving Amber and Steve very little time. "Till the end of the line?" Steve panted as he reached out for Amber's hand, "Till the end of the line" she confirmed with their last breath.
