Chapter 15: Tactical Planning

“How has Jaune’s training been coming along?” Thalia asked as Pyrrha Nikos herself sat down on a chair not far from Thalia, who sat on Dust’s bed while he was out. The red haired champion, Pyrrha adjusted her sitting position to get more comfortable,

“It’s coming slowly, but he is making impressive progress” Pyrrha explained, “The amount of Aura he has in simply astonishing”. Like most people, Thalia didn’t see what Pyrrha saw when it came to Jaune Arc. To most, the leader of Team JNPR was nothing more than a stuttering idiot with little skill. However, Pyrrha Nikos of all people saw Jaune as a great leader with immense potential, which shocked just about everyone. Often times Thalia looked at Jaune and then realised that there could be worse leaders than Hunter Armbruster.

“That’s good to hear!” Thalia replied. Thalia then smirked mischievously as she winked at Pyrrha, “So, are those about you liking Jaune Arc true?” Pyrrha’s cheeks nearly became as red as her hair, which was tied back into a long pony tail as always. Pyrrha looked down and shook her head. Thalia giggled, “You like him, don’t you?”

“You bet she does!” Nora replied obnoxiously as she barged into the Team HNTD dorm uninvited. Pyrrha’s entire face went red,

“Nora!! Sssssh!” The orange haired girl skipped into the room and sat down next to Thalia,

“It’s okay, we won’t tell anyone, right Thalia?” Nora asked, smiling a wide yet friendly smile as she always did. Thalia laughed before she agreed with the loudest member of Team JNPR,

“Yes, Nora is right! We won’t tell anyone, I promise!” Thalia reassured Pyrrha, smiling warmly at her. Nora nodded quickly in agreement with Thalia, waiting for Pyrrha’s answer intently. “C’mon Pyrrha, don’t be a party pooper!” Nora joked, grinning playfully at her teammate.

“Fine, I like him...” Pyrrha mumbled in embarrassment. Nora squealed and hopped up in down, unable to contain her sudden burst of excitement. “I’m so proud of you!” Nora said happily as she hugged Pyrrha. Thalia had never seen anyone so confused in her life, let alone Pyrrha this confused. Thalia couldn’t help but laugh as she watched Pyrrha trying to struggle out of Nora’s embrace.

The door to the dorm room opened as the leader of Team HNTD entered the room. As Hunter closed the door behind him, he was immediately hugged by Nora. Thalia and Pyrrha both laughed at Nora’s absolutely random actions. Hunter remained completely silent as he dreaded every second of this moment. After a few short seconds, a low growl began to sound off in the room as Hunter’s orange eyes filled with frustration. Nora stopped hugging Hunter and spun around in the room at random,

“Someone is GRUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUMPY!” Nora giggled as she stopped spinning, getting dizzy from all the movement. Hunter snarled at the orange haired lunatic and left the room in irritation.

As Hunter left the room, he bumped into a frail blonde man. The impact in between the two caused the blonde man to fall down onto the ground. Hunter rolled his eyes in anger, “How much worse can this get?” He thought. The blonde man dusted off his blue jeans,

“Hey, s-s-sorry about that!” He stuttered, “I-I didn’t see you... storming out into the hallways”. The guy had barely said two sentences, but already this guy was getting on Hunter’s nerves. “S-so, let’s start anew” he suggested, “My name is Jaune Arc, n-nice to meet you... um..” Jaune paused and laughed nervously, “What’s your name?”

“Hunter Armbruster” Hunter replied quickly, his curiosity increasing by the second as he realised that this fumbling idiot was the leader of Team JNPR, “So you’re the leader of Team JNPR, correct?” Hunter asked. Jaune took a small step back; he wasn’t expecting a question like this so quickly. Poor Jaune was not prepared for the knowledge hungry leader of Team HNTD.
