Chapter 81: White Flames

“So Hunter is that giant wolf-thingy because of some black Grimm stuff went on his arm and somehow it mutates him to become a Werewolf?” Yang questioned. Night nodded and continued to fly next to his motorcycle as they continued to follow the tracks, “In a nutshell, yes”. Yang shook her head and took a deep breath, “And here I thought I’ve been it all!” Night laughed and then suddenly stopped laughing as they passed by a small area of dead White Fang members as the snow around them was blood red. Their bodies and limbs were ripped and clawed apart and then the tracks continued on further throughout the snow covered forest. “If you don’t mind, let’s keep going” Yang exclaimed, “I’d rather not find out what that smells like!” Night nodded in agreement as the two continued to follow the tracks until the White Fang base was visible in the distance. Suddenly Night picked up a familiar aura and pointed as he shouted the words, “Hey! It’s Blake!” Yang smirked and came to a halt as she got closer to the tree that Blake was hiding behind. Night landed swiftly onto the ground, which brought Blake’s focus on the two new arrivals. “Yang, Night... what are you two doing here?” Blake questioned. Yang hopped off her motorcycle and grinned, “We’re here to find you and Hunter of course! Speaking of Hunter... where is he?” Night and Yang watched as Blake pointed at the White Fang base and then at the series of footprints from Hunter’s shoes heading towards the entrance, “My best guess is he’s in there judging from the tracks. I was just about entering myself but, it’s a lot to take in to think I’d be going back there”. Night couldn’t sense Hunter’s aura, since he was too far away from the base, but he quickly changed that as he soared into the air as a flaming aura surrounded him. “Night! C’mon, wait up!” Yang shouted as she sprinted after him, shortly followed by Blake who was still hesitant to enter. As Night got closer to the base, he still couldn’t sense Hunter’s aura. He could hear some kind of large disturbance of noise as he flew onto the roof and once pinpointing the room with the noise, he blasted a hole in the ceiling, crushing at least ten White Fang members as the rubble landed onto their bodies. Night flew down onto the rubble and glared at each of the members, “Where is Hunter Armbruster?” Night asked in an angry tone. Suddenly Yang and Blake dropped down from the hole in the ceiling that Night made as they prepared for any form of attack.

“I’m afraid you’re too late” One member mocked. Another member laughed as she shouted, “We just finished filling your friend with lead!” The three looked at the stage and noticed Hunter lying in a puddle of his own blood. He was completely motionless and still, but Night could sense just a sliver of his aura. However in his current state, it didn’t matter; Hunter was gone. Blake remained silent as her jaw stayed open for a minute before tears rolled down her cheeks. Yang’s eyes widened and then turned bright red as her hair turned golden as golden flames surrounded her body. Night’s anger and all of his emotions built up until he yelled at the top of his lungs, causing black flames to circle around him until they became the Black Flame Armour mode. He spawned his large 25 foot long black-flame Scythe and then yelled, “I WILL END YOU MOTHER FUCKERS!” Suddenly Night spawned into a skeleton-like Black Phoenix and soared through the room, burning White Fang members to ashes, cutting them in half and killing them in any way possible. Blake and Yang jumped onto the ground and let out all of their hatred and their emotions as they joined Night in the brutal killing of every member that stood in the room. It only lasted another two minutes before every member either escaped or was killed by the weapons that Night, Blake and Yang wielded. Night reverted back to his normal state, which doing so normally would cause him to pass out, but his emotions and drive prevented him from passing out from awakening the Black Flame Armour form. Blake immediately run onto the stage and fell onto her knees as she stared at Hunter’s still body for a moment. She slowly hugged his body close to her and cried onto his shoulder. Yang’s eyes began to water as she couldn’t bear to look at Blake any longer. Night watched in silence as he tried to comprehend the truth; Hunter was dead. Blake cried and screamed as she held onto Hunter’s motionless body. Night walked onto the stage and crouched down next to Blake, “Hey, hey... Blake, I need you to let him go for a second”. Blake kept her face buried into his shoulder as she asked, “W-why?” in a weak, broken hearted voice that Night and Yang would be happy to never hear again. Suddenly White flames surrounded Night’s forearms as he explained, “I might be able to save him”. Blake looked up at Night in shock as tears rushed down her face like a waterfall, “W-what?” Night nodded and smiled faintly, “White flames can heal myself and others... if you let go of his body, I might be able to save him” Night repeated in a calm voice. Blake slowly laid Hunter down onto his back and Night held out his hands and let the White flames engulf his body. Yang turned to look at Hunter as she, Night and Blake watched as suddenly the bullet holes and wounds on his body began to rapidly heal and close before their eyes. The bullets lodged into his skin fell out of his body and rolled onto the floor as his orange eyes slowly opened. Suddenly the White flames dissipated, indicating that the healing process was done. Hunter glanced around the room and then looked at Night, Yang and Blake slowly. Blake hugged Hunter back into her arms and cried onto his shoulder. He smiled slowly and then hugged her back as he whispered, “It’s okay, it’s okay. I’m okay”. Blake hugged him tighter, “I-I thought y-you were gone...” she cried as she continued to cry into his shoulder. Hunter gently pet the back of Blake’s head and smiled, “I wouldn’t leave you, you know I wouldn’t leave you” he replied. Hunter glanced back at Night and Yang, as Night whispered, “We’ll leave them alone for a few minutes” to Yang. Yang nodded in agreement and wiped her eyes quickly before anyone noticed she was crying. Blake and Hunter stayed embraced for a few minutes until they kissed one another, “I will never leave you” Hunter whispered after gently pulling back, “I love you too much”.
