Chapter 67: Thalia Serene VS Pyrrha Nikos

“Okay, so that’s all the time we have today so tomorrow we will start the day with Thalia Serene of Team HNTD VS Pyrrha Nikos of Team JPNR, both from Beacon. See you all tomorrow!” Professor Reza announced with a smile. Thalia stopped breathing for a second before taking an epic yet elongated gasp, “Oh this is exciting! Holy crap! I can’t wait!” Thalia squealed and hopped up and down. Suddenly Pyrrha walked up towards Thalia and smiled, “I can see you’re excited as well” Thalia stopped jumping and cleared her throat as she scratched the back of her head, “Hehe... yeah I am! Listen, for tomorrow, may the best Huntress win, no hard feelings right?” Pyrrha laughed quietly and nodded, “Yes, no hard feelings. If I hurt you in the fight, I’m sorry in advance” Thalia smiled and hugged her friend, “Don’t apologize, it’ll be fun! Anyways, I got to go, see you later Pyrrha!” Pyrrha smiled and waved, “See you tomorrow Thalia! If you want, early morning do you want to do some training in the gymnasium?” Thalia stopped and thought about it for a few moments. “They it should be fun!” Pyrrha giggled and smirked, “Good, bring your boxing gear and whatever else you’ll need”. Thalia nodded and then ran to check up with the rest of the guys in HNTD. Thalia spent the rest of the day with a big smile on her face as her excitement continued to build up inside of her.

“So you’re the one to fight the Legendary Pyrrha Nikos?” Carmine confirmed, “Well, I wish you luck on your quest to conquer the pack leader or... something I don’t know” Carmine stopped talking and rolled his eyes at his failed attempt of a joke. Thalia giggled, “My quest to conquer the pack leader? Well, I got the message, thanks Carmine”. Raven rolled her eyes and sighed, “You really missed a good opportunity for a joke there, Carmine” The other members of CRMN and HNTD laughed as they all ate dinner at the same table. Magenta and Dust sat next to one another and Dust made sure to sit on the opposite far end of the table, away from Hunter. Half of the reason why Dust sat so far from Hunter was because Dust naturally wanted to avoid Hunter and because when Dust attempted to sit near Hunter he growled and scared Dust away. Carmine sat across from Thalia, who sat next to Night and naturally Night sat next to his partner, Hunter. Sometimes Night would look back on when he first met Hunter and what Night thought of him at the start and then compared their relationship to now and he would be so surprised. It was crazy to think Night went from not trusting Hunter to the point of avoiding him and then went to being best friends with Hunter to the point of he would die for him. Minutes into eating, Roxy and Charlotte walked over to their table, “Mind if we join you all?” Charlotte asked politely. Everyone at the table gestured for the two sisters to come join them, with the exception of Hunter who remained completely silent. Roxy and Charlotte pulled up two chairs and then introduced themselves to the people they haven’t met yet, “Hello, my name is Roxy Fretmore and this is my sister, Charlotte”. Hunter suddenly gained interest as he said, “Fretmore? Wait... are you related to ‘Professor Fretmore’ who worked at Beacon?” Roxy nodded, “Yeah, he was our Uncle. We didn’t know him that well, but we do know he was killed by a Grimm of some kind”. Hunter pulled out a hand drawn image of the Shadow Walker as he explained, “He was killed by a Shadow Walker, but rest assured, we avenged his death. In fact I managed to make a cape out that thing’s pelt” Hunter pointed to the cape on his back, which he usually wore when not in battle.

“I see, well I appreciate you avenging him- hey by the way, you okay? You know, with that whole Alice thing” Charlotte questioned. Hunter shuttered a bit and the nodded, “Yeah I’m fine... crazy bitch, she’s lucky I didn’t kill her”. Carmine grinned and pointed Hunter in the shoulder across the table, “Knowing you, you’d do it too!” Hunter grinned and nodded, “Hell yeah I would”. Roxy glanced over at Carmine and then asked, “Are you two friends?” Carmine nodded and smiled, “Yeah I’ve been friends with this guy since we were kids! Hell, I might be the only person besides his girlfriend that he genuinely likes” Carmine joked. “Hey! I’m not THAT heartless” Hunter looked next to him and grabbed Night in a headlock, “C’mon, Night’s my homie!” Night pushed Hunter off and then punched him in the arm as he smiled, “Hey man, we’re cool”.
