The day after The Vessel attack and the Grimm Assault at Vale:

"Ladies and follow dudes!" Carmine announced as he placed down a box on the nearby Cafeteria table as everyone from HNTD, ROCK and CRMN (with the absence of Neon) sat down, "I'm not one for speeches, BUT: You all did a kick ass job at defeating The Vessel! Sure, most of the head honchos got away, but whatever! If they come back, SHA-WAM we'll get them back for a second time! So because of your incredible efforts and Hunter's... disturbingly brutal display of rage as that... THING, we won without any wounds on our part! I'd thank Hunter's father as well; but he is not here so... he'll miss out on what I got for you guys!" Carmine grinned and then opened the box and handed out one beer to each of his friends, "I think we all deserve a drink in celebration for our victory! So, let's have a toast for our victory against The Vessel; and a toast for our friends who defended our city from the Grimm!" Carmine shouted as he held his bottle proudly in the air. Everyone at the table besides Hunter clashed their bottles against Carmine's and then opened their beers before guzzling it down. Hunter stared at the bottle with confusion and curiosity as he hesitantly opened it. "What? Never had a beer before, Hunter?" Dust asked. Night grinned and then nudged Carmine's shoulder, "Hey, he's never had one?" Carmine's ears perked up as he smirked, "I guess he hasn't! Go ahead Hunter, that's some good stuff!" Hunter took a quick smell of the liquid and then took a quick sip, causing his face to scrunch up as he growled, "Ah, fuck! That's awful!" Everyone laughed and then cheered Hunter to finish it. He glared at everyone and then drank nearly half the bottle in one go, causing him to gag. Carmine laughed so hard he fell out of his chair.

30 Minutes later:

"H-here's the thing... what does drunk feel like?" Hunter questioned in a loopy voice. Thalia giggled and then grinned, "Why are you asking, Hunter?" Hunter paused and then let out a noise NO ONE expected to ever hear from him; a giggle. "Wwwwell you know... you like l-lose consciousness and do stupid stuff and... hehe, you know all that stuff?" Hunter explained as he swayed back and forth in his chair, "But I need to know what that feels like! Then I can decipher if... if this is drunk or-... maybe I'm trippin'?" Night laughed and then smiled, "Well what would you do if I told you what you're experiencing is being drunk?" Hunter paused and then gazed into blank space as if he just witness the future before him, "Then I would know w-what it means to be.... drunk". Suddenly Celeste placed her hand on Night's shoulder as she whispered, "Mind if we talk for a minute?" in his ear. Night nodded and then stepped out into the hallway with Celeste while the rest stayed with Hunter and his drunken state. "Hunter, are you that much of a lightweight?" Hunter paused and then giggled, "I was transformed.... b-by the strong.. m-musky power of tr-"he then let out a sudden burst of laughter and then paused once again, "C-carmine... Carm... come here!" Hunter whispered as Carmine leaned in closer. "I'm a balloon" Hunter whispered in a giggly voice. Carmine laughed and then clapped once, "I've discovered Hunter Armbruster's weakness; Alcohol! He had about three quarters of a bottle!" Hunter laughed and then suddenly passed out on the floor, causing everyone to laugh harder. At one point, Orchid nudged Kevin and then gestured for him to follow her out onto one of the balconies.

"What's on your mind, honey?" Night asked as he smiled warmly. Celeste lowered her head and then looked back up at Night, "Well, I spoke to my Father before the Grimm attacked Vale and... he said something about you being involved with military experimentation". Night paused and then scratched the back of his head, "Wow, I didn't expect to hear anyone mention this!" Celeste looked up at him with a slight hint of nervousness in her eyes as she asked, "Well? Is it true?" Night nodded, "It is, but I didn't bother telling anyone since it's honestly an unimportant detail about me! The Military tested with advancing human soldiers through experimentation and I signed up to be a test subject while working there as a technician and weapon's crafter. So, I was tested on with little pain, at least as far as my pain tolerance considered and I was gifted with Aura Sensing. However I soon found out others weren't nearly as lucky as I was. Men and women died and soon I found out about some kind of testing with Faunus and Humans, ones that could turn people into monsters. We know that now as Void, but at the time I didn't know what it was. The experimentation and its constant failed results was one of the many reasons why I left the Military" Night explained. Celeste remained silent for a minute before asking, "Have you told the test of your team about this?" Night shook his head and shrugged, "There wouldn't be any reason to tell them. They won't care to know until something pops up that requires them to know, or my knowledge of these experiments becomes important". Celeste paused and then gently brushed a strand of her hair, "A-about that.." she mumbled, "My Father claimed that the Military stole those experiment ideas from The Vessel years and years ago and the Military is trying to deny the existence of The Vessel; for fear that the people will discover that not only is the Military conducting testing on Humans and Faunus, but these experiments came from a crazed villainous group" Celeste explained. Before Night could say anything about how Leo the Lurker should not be trusted, Celeste said, "And my Father gained this knowledge from Dire, or as a lot of us know him as: the one who bears the Black Star". Night paused and then looked serious yet slightly concerned, "This came from Dire? Then I have no reason to disbelieve it, everything he has predicted or said has been true; especially what he has told Hunter. In time, if my knowledge of these experiments become important, I promise to tell the rest of HNTD, okay?" Celeste nodded and smiled slightly, "Okay, deal".
