Chapter 73: MDNS and the Leviathan

Hunter took a wet cloth and cleaned his face off the blood he had coughed up in the fight with Night. He looked back as he too cleaned himself of any blood. “I’ll be honest Night, I thought you were going to roast me alive” Hunter confessed with a smirk. Night shook his head and smiled, “Nah, you won fair and square, but to be fair; I nearly got you!” Hunter laughed a bit and put the cloth down and rubbed his forehead, “You sure did... good god”. Suddenly the whole stadium shook violently as a thundering roar shook the ground, causing people to run and scream in a mass panic. “What the hell was that?!” Hunter shouted as he began to run out towards the stands. Suddenly Ivory smashed her sword through the wall in front of Hunter and kicked him back, “Not so fast, Armbruster!” Night readied his weapons and glared at the visor-wearing woman as Hunter growled at her, “Get the fuck out of my way!” Hunter demanded in a raspy, growling voice. Ivory placed her great sword over her shoulder and looked at Night, “He can pass, but the son of Dire Armbruster stays”. Hunter glanced over at Night and gestured for him to leave, “Go, see what else is happening, I’ll handle this”. Night sprinted past Ivory and then noticed that everyone was heading out of the Tournament building. People ran and screamed as they looked up at the massive Grimm roaring and stomping towards them. Suddenly from the seas nearby small, lizard like Grimm crawled out and rushed towards the people as the massive “Leviathan” roared and called them towards its position. Mono jumped off the body of the Leviathan and grinned, “Nakisai, Salvador, begin the attack. Drake, you know what to do”. Drake nodded and then commanded the Leviathan to turn over to the right side of the building. Night ran up towards Celeste, “Where’s Hunter?” Celeste asked in a panic. “He’s still in the left side building near the medical room, that Ivory woman trapped him in. I know Hunter though, he’ll get out! Anyways, we need to kill this Grimm before anyone gets killed!” Dust ran up to Night, shortly followed by Thalia, “Then what do you want me to do, Night?” Dust asked. “Dust, I need you to fight against the smaller Grimm and save anyone who is getting attacked, you’re the only one who’s fast enough to save everyone in time! Thalia, I want you to fight the smaller Grimm but if anyone from MDNS show up, do not hesitate to fight them!” Night ordered in a serious voice. Night then looked over at Celeste as he said, “I need you to enter into your enraged form and fight the Leviathan, that huge Grimm”. Celeste’s eyes widened, “W-what? You want to take that risk?” Celeste questioned in disbelief. Night sighed and nodded, “Yes, but I know for a fact you can no doubt control it, if you really try you can control it! If it makes you feel any better, I will join you in the fight against the Leviathan shortly”. Suddenly Steelsworth flew down on his desk and grinned, “I agree with Night, if my son- if Night believes in you, then so do I! C’mon girl, let’s show this giant what real Huntsman and Huntresses look like!” Steelsworth exclaimed. Celeste nodded and took multiple deep breaths as her hair slowly changed blue. Her eyes suddenly turned redish-pink as she grabbed her cloak and flipped it behind her. She and Steelsworth then flew into the air and began to fight back against the Grimm, while Night stayed far away from the fighting and concentrated.

“What the devil is going on?!” Roman Torchwick shouted in the middle of the White Fang base as he watched the News channel, which was currently recording the destruction happening at the Tournament. Cinder turned her head and gritted her teeth, “It seems that our rivals at MDNS are striking once again... I have to give them credit, their plan is quite impressive but that’s hardly a good thing”. Roman shook his head and paced back and forth, “There’s that but also Neo is there! We can’t lose her now, not with my upcoming plans!” Roman shouted. Cinder rolled her eyes and began to walk towards a small airship, “If you’re worried about your little helper, I will go and “save her”, but know that I’m not going just for Neo, I’m going to finish off that damn Mono once and for all”. Roman smirked and crossed his arms, “Well I was going to go, but I appreciate your kindness, Cinder!” She looked back at Torchwick and glared at him with her yellow eyes, “Don’t tempt me to end you as quickly as I’ll end Mono Krome, Roman” Cinder warned before entering the airship and flying off to the Tournament’s building.
