"Punta ba kayo dun sa party?" Cienne asked, lahat kami napatingin sa kanya. Kakatapos lang ng training.
"Yung joint Ateneo-La Salle party?" Ah. Kiefer told me about it.
"Dadaan ata kami. Kief and his teammates are going eh. Kayo ba?" Ara just kept mum, the others shrugged.
"Gusto sana namin pero di ba today yung yaya ni Den?" Oo nga pala yung catch up dinner.
"Oo nga pala, mamaya yun. MIA ka nanaman Ye!" Sita ni Camille.
"Sorry na. I'll make bawi this season, alam niyo na. Jailed na tayo."
"Sus!" That was Ate Moks, tampururot.
"Saka Ye, ang aga ng training tomorrow ah." Kim said, yun nga isa ko pang problema.
"I'll sleep early now para later mejo hindi ako antukin."
"Bahala ka jan Ye, last last week muntik ka na kay coach buti umabot ka." Ara reminded me.
"Yung eyebags mo matindi na oh!" Sita pa ni Carol. Di ako titigilan ng mga to.
"Guys... Aalis na siya next month. Please understand..." The thought of him being away again kills me, ilang beses ng nangyari samin to but I guess I'll never get used to it.
The girls stared at me for I don't know how long until my tears can't take it anymore.
"I'm gonna miss him..." They all hugged me.
"Sssh. Ye, mabilis lang yun." Cienne said trying to comfort me.
"Para kang tanga jan Daks ah, wag kang umiyak maga na mata mo 2 days na yan." Ara knows about my late night crying moments, since sinabi ni Kiefer about making it to that team and his departure naiiyak ako lagi. Yun actually ang rason kung bakit ang laki ng eyebags ko. Kiefer doesn't know about it.
"Support him lang, mabilis lang dadaan yung 1 month ye." Ate Moks made me look at her face. I'm covered with tears.
"I know naman pero I'm still gonna miss him. Last season ko na and I won't be able to see him on the side? Cheering? That's..." I don't even want to picture it. Ang sakit.
Everyday I'll just keep on missing his cheers for me, his laugh, the way he holds my hand, his scent whenever he'll hug me and bury my face on his chest. The way he beams at me, his corny jokes, rants. I'll even miss watching him play computer games. I'm gonna damn miss him.
"Ang senti ko." I said in between sobs, tumawa ang lahat.
"Buti alam mo." Kim uttered. They let go of me.
"Okay ka na?" Cheng asked.
"I have to be, oh sige na tama na drama balik na tayo dorm aalis na kayo di ba?" Isa isa na silang lumabas sa gym after comforting me and making sure I'll be fine.
"Proxy ako kay Kiefer while he's gone." Inakbayan ako ni Ara at bumulong, maya maya si Kim tumabi din samin.
"Ako din. Ako muna si Bhie!" I spread my arms and hugged them.
"Kaya mahal ko kayo eh!" Thankful ako that my teammates are very supportive.
"Pero yari ako nito kay Bang at Mela." I added and we all laughed.
"Ewan ko sayo Ye!" Binatukan ako ni Ara sabay takbo.
"Langya ka Victonara!" And I ran after her, I heard Kim uttered "Parang mga bata." Me and Vic stopped to look back at Kim who's shaking her head in disapproval.
