Finn walks into the bedroom quietly a tray of y/n's favorite breakfast foods set out next to a tiny flower-filled vase. Being careful not to wake you yet he sets the tray on the dresser before walking over to the window opening the blinds to allow the sun to pour over your blanket-covered legs. Walking to his side of the bed Finn crawls back in beside you, his hand gently caressing your arm as he presses a soft kiss to your cheek.

"Darlin come on it's time to wake up, I have a little surprise for ya."

He smiles when your eyes finally open a tired grin on your face as you curl closer to him for warmth the still slight chill causing your bare legs to cover in goosebumps.

"What time is it?"

"A little after ten I made ya breakfast so ya need to sit up so you don't make a mess everywhere."

Watching as you stretch and fully sit up Finn gets the tray placing it across your lamp grinning at your happy expression.

"What's this for?"

"Just thought I'd do a little somethin special for my girl."

"The small cards are a cute touch.

Finn blushes slightly as you read the simple good morning my love out loud holding it close to your chest awing out loud.

"You're so sweet to me."

"Just cause I love you mo stór(my darling). "

GoHe smiles tucking a little hair behind your ear as you set the card down picking up a blackberry popping it in your mouth.

"Have you eaten breakfast yet?"

"Yeah I did while I made yours."

"Would you like some fruit I don't want to eat alone."

Chuckling Finn pops a raspberry in his mouth chewing it happily as he watches you eat your breakfast reading over a few of the stories in the magazine he brought you. After finishing your breakfast Finn leaves you to shower while he cleans up. He wanted to be sure everything was put away while he got the bag for your hike ready. Since you and Finn had a week off you immediately flew back to his hometown of Bray to stay in his little waterfront cottage. You had spent time with his family and some old friends today though he wanted it to be just all about you two.

"Babe, should I wear my boots or sneakers?"

"Either is fine darlin."

He calls up the stairs then making sure the ring was hidden properly in the bag Finn waits for you in the kitchen. When you finally come downstairs he smiles pressing a kiss to your lips his hands resting on your hips.

"Ready to go?"

"Yep we can head out if you're all set."

Smiling Finn leads you out to the car waiting till you're settled before backing out of the driveway. You two chatter away listening to the radio talking about his family and seeing a few friends before work once you get back to the States. Finn soon stops the car in a small dirt parking lot getting out he takes your hand leading you over trails he'd been traveling since he was a kid. Tell you stories about hanging out with friends sneaking a bottle of alcohol when he was fifteen. He can't remember the last time he had this much fun on a hike.

"So where are we actually going like where is our final stop?"

"It's one of my most favorite spots to go to when I'm home I got here every time it's one of the cliffsides."

"The one from your Instagram? I've seen the pictures the views are always so beautiful."

"That's one of the reasons why I love it so much I can reconnect with myself there I do a lot of thinkin."

"What's some things you think of?"

"Work, my family anything I need to get done, I think about you a lot."

"Me really?"

Finn chuckles nodding his head and giving your hand a squeeze at the happiness in your voice.

"Yes darlin I think about you a lot."

You couldn't help the excitement you felt at being shown a spot that was so special to Finn. After a little while, you feel him pull you closer before stepping out into the wide space. Your eyes widen at the breathtaking view Finn smiles excitedly opening his arms wide spinning around before turning to you.

"Isn't it something?"

"It's even more gorgeous in person I can't believe this is where you get to spend so much time when you're home."

You say snapping a few pictures and a special one of Finn doing his Finn Freeze on a board laid out on the ground. Walking towards the edge you look over feeling a little thrill run through you at the sight. You weren't sure if heaven existed but this definitely felt like it could be called heaven on earth. Finn watches as you take in everything the happiness and look of peace on your face is one he'll remember for the rest of his days. Reaching into the bag with trembling hands Finn pulls out the ring that had been in his family for years. He had the main diamond placed in a necklace to give you on your anniversary but with his family's blessing, he had a beautiful opal to replace it. He wasn't afraid of getting married he was ecstatic at the thought it was the idea you'd say no that had his nerves on high alert.

Gripping the ring Finn gives you a nervous smile when you walk back over to him.

"You okay babe?"

"I will be it's just this place is so special to me and I'm so happy I can now share it with you. You have become such an important piece of my life and the thought of ever losing you scares me to death."

Clearing his throat he wipes his free hand on his pants taking a few deep breaths gets on one knee as he tries to fumble through the next few words that will change his life.

"Y/n my darlin you're the love my life my soulmate in more ways than one, when my grandmother used to tell stories of how the spirit of Ireland brought true lovers together I knew one day I'd want to find that. An um I have in you and I was wondering will you marry me?"

Finn watches your face as he holds out a shaky hand you can't help but inwardly awe when the ring slips from his hand Finn lets out a soft curse. Stopping him from moving you bend down picking the ring up slipping it half way on your finger looking at him with tear filled eyes.

"Yes, Finn I'll marry you."

You say softly with a smile watching as his body relaxes him helping you slip it all the way on his lips finding yours. Finn kisses you softly his hands cupping your face his forehead resting on yours as he wraps his arms around you.

"I'm going to make you the happiest person alive."

"Finn you already do baby."

Looking at the ring on your hand you can't help the happiness rushing through you. Later that night posted on both your social media is a picture of your engagement ring.
