White Christmas

Description: Fergal spends Christmas with his girlfriend Rachel in NYC for her first white Christmas.

"Come on come on."

Rachel shakes her boyfriend Fergal's arm looking out their hotel window at the white fluff falling outside.

"What is it?"

Fergal groans opening his eyes seeing his giddy girlfriend with a large smile on her face.

"It's Christmas morning and it's snowing!"

She cheers excitedly running to the window pushing the curtains farther apart so she could look out at the city. Her first white Christmas was being spent in New York City with her boyfriend of two years. Being a New Zealand born and raised she had never seen snow in person apart from on the mountain tops far away back home. However never up close, she'd never felt the cold substance touch her skin, Fergal wanted to change that right away.

"Come on love lets shower the snow will still be there when we get out."

Sighing Rachel backs away from the window trudging over to her boyfriend who takes her hand tugging her into the bathroom. He had a way to put a smile on her face he thought with a smirk closing the door behind them. After a little fun in the shower and dressing Fergal takes her to the hotel lobby for breakfast he had a whole day planned out for them and would need to have the energy to do so.

"You ready to take your first step into snow?"

"Absolutely!"

Fergal smiled leading her outside Rachel gasps stepping into the snow reaching out she laughs at the cold liquid melting in her hand.

"It's so cold!"

"Well it is frozen love so of course it's cold, come on lets go skate."

Fergal gets a taxi telling them to go to Rockafella Center Rachel sits face pressed against the window as she watches the snow fall. When the pull up at the giant skating center Rachel quickly pulls Fergal out just barely letting him pay the driver.

"Slow down mo gra you're gonna trip if you aren't careful."

He chuckles following her as they get two pairs of skates thankfully there wasn't many people skating. The two spend the next three hours skating over the ice watching as the other falls or nearly falls. After skating, they grab a quick lunch at a dinner before deciding to just window shop. Most places were closed for Christmas day so they weren't able to actually shop after a couple blocks they get a taxi to Central Park. Hot chocolates in one hand their fingers entangled with the others they walk through the park talking away.

"How's your first white Christmas been baby?"

"It's been amazing I can't wait to open the gifts."

Fergal nods his head in agreement as they spend a while longer out in the snow before heading back to the hotel for some cookies, opening gifts and maybe even another roll under the blankets.
