Scared of the Dark

Y/n is afraid of the dark and a storm causes a blackout.

Y/n makes her way down the hallway she was so happy the show was over and she could go to her hotel room. She was one of the last people to leave since her segment was at the very end of the show. Making her way to an exit she peeks out the door and puts her hood up, out of all the days to not have an umbrella. Walking into the parking lot Y/n quickly makes her way over to her car, it was really coming down. Opening her bag she digs around searching for her keys, oh please they just had to be in there.

"Where the hell are they?"

A clap of thunder hits causing Y/n to jump and continue to quickly search her bag leaning against the window she groans seeing them on the floor.

"Great just great."

Y/n says a bolt of lightning brightens the sky and a loud boom falls before the parking lot goes dark. As if this night couldn't get any worse now the parking lot was completely dark and she didn't have a way of seeing anything.

"Okay, Y/n keep it together everything is going to be okay just go back to the building and see if anyone can give you a ride."

Truth be told she was so scared she hated blackouts and even worse she was afraid of the dark, her place was one thing but a parking lot was totally different. Her phone had died an hour ago and the tiny light she had was on her keychain. Turning in the direction of the building she hoped Y/n starts walking in that direction. Occasionally lighting would lighten everything so she knew that she was going in the right way. She was getting cold and soaked to the bone, there weren't many cars left in the lot. Rubbing her eyes Y/n tries to keep the panic in and just as she reaches the building the door swings open startling her.

"Y/n, what are you doin here still lass I thought you left already?"

"Finn! Thank gods a familiar voice."

Y/n hugs him tightly then quickly lets him go remembering she was soaking wet and freezing.

"Sorry, I locked my keys in my car and my phone died, lighting hit a generator I think and caused a blackout. I'll admit it to you I'm scared of the dark and I have been working my way back trying not to freak out and find a ride to the hotel. I didn't know that you were still here, I'm sorry for getting you wet."

"Oi easy take a breath there lass no worries y/n I don't mind a little wet."

Finn chuckles pulling her back in for a hug and frowns.

"You are tremblin badly, come on you can ride back to the hotel with me."

Keeping her close Finn walks her to his car and opens his door tucking her inside. Getting behind the wheel Finn blasts the heat and hands her a hoodie to slip on. Driving them to the hotel Finn makes sure the heat stays pointed on her. Y/n hugs herself in Finn's hoodie, she'd have to make sure that she got it washed for him.
Pulling into the parking lot Finn quickly gets out running over and opening her side after grabbing their bags. The two dash for the door and step inside greeted by flashlights and candles.

"Hello sir and ma'am, our apologies but the storm knocked the power out and we're waiting for the generators to kick in. Please take a flashlight, I'm sorry you'll have to take the stairs."

"That's alright can we still get into our rooms?"

"Yes you can still just swipe your key card."

Nodding Finn wraps his arm around Y/n after grabbing a flashlight. Together they make their way to the stairs pointed at by the front desk and take them two at a time all the way up to the fourth floor.

"Jeez there's so many steps."

Y/n says as they finally get to Finn's floor, Finn chuckles and nods pointing the flashlight at the numbers until they arrive at his door. Swiping his card he pushes the door open stepping inside. Y/n pulls his hoodie off and waits for the flashlight, she was terrified to walk back by herself.

"Thank you so much Finn I appreciate you helping me."

She says holding the hoodie out to him and reaches for her bag.

"I better walk up to my room, I'm still another floor up."

"I was going to offer you to stay the night with me, I was going to let you have the bed and I'd sleep on the couch. I know you're still scared and I don't want you to be alone and scared."

"Thank you."

Y/n smiles letting him take her hand and pull her into the room, Finn closes the door and quickly moves around getting a fresh t-shirt for her to wear. Then points to the bathroom.

"You can change in there if you want or I'll turn around, I don't have any undergarments unless you're okay wearing boxers."

"That's fine."

Y/n was glad he couldn't see her blushing as she goes to a corner and quickly changes. Happy to finally be in some warmer clothes, setting her wet clothes in the shower y/n dries her hair and waits for Finn.

"You know, this bed is huge and I don't want your back to hurt, we could share it. If you want to share it that is, we don't have to, I can sleep on the couch."

Y/n rambles looking at the shadows on the wall, Finn smiles fondly and nods.

"We can share the bed."

A clap of thunder hits sending Y/n diving into the bed clinging onto Finn.

"Sorry I'm just really scared."

"It's okay lass no worries, I'm here I'll keep you safe I promise."

Finn says placing a gentle kiss on her head as he wraps his arms around her. Y/n smiles nodding and holds onto Finn as he covers them up yawning.

"Goodnight Y/n."

"Goodnight Finn thank you."
