Word had gotten around about who Raleigh was and, what was apparently more important, who his father is. Raleigh wasn't used to having people portray such respect towards him. He was used to his friend's playful teasing and Flash and his friends' less playful mocking. Now, whenever he spoke or talked to the Asgardians, they would be careful with their words and when he walked away or by them, they would bow their head. It was unusual, to say the least, especially considering he had just met them. It wasn't that he hated it, but he certainly didn't like it.
He had been left with the group of people ever since the short ceremony ended. Thor, Loki, Valkyrie, and Heimdall left to work on separate things, leaving Raleigh with the Asgardians and Sakaarians. He spent the first ten minutes going around and making sure everyone was well because he discovered how dangerous the undead army was and worried something may have happened to the people. Fortunately, everyone was relatively fine, aside from some scrapes and bruises and obvious shock.
After about an hour of being abandoned, Raleigh stumbled upon the rock-creature, Korg, and his big bug-like friend. They were near the big window and Korg was speaking to his friend, but Raleigh had yet to hear the bug say anything in response to the rocks' words.
"So..." Raleigh scratched his cheek and pointed to the strange purple bug in Korg's arms. The rock-man beamed from the attention and held the squeaking creature closer to him. "What is—do they have a name?"
"This is Miek!" Korg continued grinning and held out the bug and Raleigh noticed the blades that were attached to what resembled robotic human arms—Meik's tiny bug legs wiggled down his body. The purple bug waved the blades around, making inaudible noises, his insect mouth flapping open and close. "He's an insect and has knives for hands. And I'm Korg. What's your name?"
Raleigh refrained from pulling a face at the giant bug mouth and turned his attention off the insectoid and onto Korg. He smiled uncomfortably. "Raleigh."
"Raleigh?" The rock-man echoed, his almost Kiwi-like accent thickening. Raleigh could tell he was trying to remember something and the boy awkwardly glance around the throne room when Korg continued muttering his name over-and-over. He turned away from the speeding stars when Korg figured out his trail of thought. "Oh, that's right, I remember, the King of Thunder was speaking about you to a ghost."
Blinking a few times, Raleigh cocked his head at the airhead of a creature, before tugging on a kind smile. He had no idea what any of that meant, only that the King of Thunder, as he put it, was Thor. On the other hand, he had no idea who or what the ghost was, or where they were at the time of this.
"Oh... Okay..." Raleigh nodded at the kind creature. He could see himself getting along with Korg, despite his odd way of speaking. He didn't know how long he was going to be trapped in space since no one had told him before exiting the room, so he knew he needed to make friends if he didn't want to be stuck to Thor or Loki's side the entire trip.
His smile faded when the light from the nearby stars suddenly disappeared.
Every Asgardian and former Sakaarian noticed as well and immediate silence filled the room. Every pair of eyes directed towards the window and Raleigh's heart jumped as his eyes trailed up the glass as a giant ship—a colossal ship—floated up until it was completely blocking every star outside and leaving them in a dimmed darkness.
