Sophies Point of View

When I woke up the next morning I thought to myself, that I will be nicer to Ross today. I mean we have to work together. Easier said than done. I decided that this day I would work through Ross' schedule with him, so that he has an overview about all his appointments. I also wanted to talk to him about his future plans in his career, so that I could help move it forward.

When I came into their tourbus at around 11 am, everyone was awake, but not all were, let's say, ready to make an appearance in public. Ross was on the couch with his guitar in his hands and only wearing sweatpants. I had to admitt, that he looked good, but that wasn't the reason why I came here.

"Ross, I would like to go through your schedule for the next months with you. Can we search a quiet place to work?" I asked him. He looked up at me with a smile.

"Sure, we can go in the back of the bus and work there." He got up from the couch, climbing over Ratliff and Riker, with his guitar still in his hands. He walked to the back of the bus. When we were at the bunks of them I asked him slightly confused.

"Don't you want to put something on? I mean, I don't think that this is appropriate." He laughed.

"What, never seen a half naked man? Or is it just my physical attraction, that distracts you from work?"

"Mmmhh, you wish. And I wouldn't speak of man, when it comes to you," I answered like a real bitch. Wow, you wanted to be nicer. His face sunk in a little bit, when I said that. He grabbed a shirt from one of the bunks, probably his and pulled it over. Then we walked in silence to the room in the back. I started my computer, where I had this all coloured schedule for him, so that he could see all his different jobs at one glance. Honestly, I was really proud of my organizing skills. But he wasn't even looking at it. I started to show him everything and explaining, which colour meant what job. He just randomly played on his guitar. This really anoyed me. I got more and more irritated. How could he do this, when we were working. I got mad and said.

"Really now, I worked my ass off, to finish this schedule for you for today and all you can do is playing your guitar and not even listening, what I'm saying?! For you, this is all a lot off fun and don't take any responsibilities. Grow up and concentrate on your job!" I almost screamed at him. Rydel came in, wondering.

"Everything okay with the both of you? I thought, I heard a fight?"

"Yeah, everything okay, thanks Del. You can go back to the others. I'll follow you later" Ross said calmly to her. As soon as Rydel walked out, he turned to me.

"Don't you ever say, that I wouldn't take my job serious. I'm working now for almost a year without a real break. When I want to have fun, I'm allowed to. I mean, I'm fucking 18 years old. You should relax a little. And I was listening to you. I just can concentrate more, when I have my guitar with me. So please, could you move on with your talking?" I was confused, I didn't know that about him. But honestly Sophie, I thought to myself, you just met this guy yesterday, so of course you don't know him. But I was also really stubborn and couldn't admitt, that I was wrong, so the only thing I said, was.

"Okay, just turn the volume down or I can't concentrate on my work." Soon we finished on the schedule thing and moved on to his plans for his future. He got back to being really nice and also a little bit flirty with me. He told me, that he would like to move on with both jobs. He loved his band but also acting. So, if it would be possible, he would like to do both. But whenever there would be any time issues, the band had priority. He also told me, that he would like to change his reputation as Disney kid. That was probably a gibe against me. But ok. So, if there would be any movie offers, he would like to have one outside from Disney. He was thankful for what Disney had offered him, but as he said, he got older and if he wants to move on, he has to change his reputation.

I could understand that. Weird I know, myself could understand him. After we finished our private meeting he invited me to spend some time with him and the others, so that we could get to know each other a little bit better. Because I wanted to be nice, I agreed. We went back to the living room, if you could call this room in a bus like this and everyone else got dressed up.

"Hey bro, you need to change, we have another interview in 2 hours," Riker said to Ross.

"Okay, I change. I invited Sophie to spent some time with us. Take care of her until I come back."

Rocky and Ratliff were playing a video game, while Rydel was on her phone. She and Riker looked up to me and asked me to sit down. I sat next to Riker and we just started to randomly talk. Like, where am I actually living? Duluth, Minnesota, but planning to move to California, when this job works. With whom I was living? My dad and my siblings. If I miss them? Yes, definitely. We are really close. Especially with my dad. What I did before this job? Working as an PA in a big company. And we also talked about personal things. What happened to my mom? She left us, when I was about 7 years old and my younger brother was 6, my little sister just turned 1 year old. If this was the reason, why I was so close to my dad? Yes. He took care of us all the time and was the best dad I could ever imagine. Somewhere inbetween Ross joined us again, but wasn't interrupting our talk. They also asked me if I had ever any contact with my mom. No, never. And I don't want to.

I felt really comfortable with them. I also learned a lot about them. How they became a band. What their favourite music band was and also some insider news about ex-girlfriends. When we came to this topic, they also asked me about my love life. At this point, Ross' seemed really interested, what I was saying. How embarassing. I didn't really want to talk about it, so I just said, that I was in a serious relationship for 3 years until it ended in a really bad break-up and this was also one reason, why I had to leave Minnesota.

The 2 hours moved quickly and soon they had to get ready for the interview. Andre picked us all up and led them to the interview. For tonight there was no show, but we had to drive to Memphis for another show tomorrow.
