No Thanks!

On the planet of wolves, wolves rule over all. The wolves are much larger than earth wolves. The male wolves are twice the size of the females. Making it easier for them to fight and claim a mate.

I am a lone wolf, always being hunted once winter sets in. The male wolves who can't find a mate in their native pack go out and hunt down a mate in the forest, so I must be hunted every winter.

I fight and run. That's how I operate. I have no plans of being mated and popping pups out left and right. I'll die before being mated and popping pups out every year. This'll be my second year of being hunted.

At the moment I'm running from a male wolf, it hasn't even snowed yet and I'm being hunted. This is the eighth male to hunt me in the last seven days.

As he chases me, I unexpectedly turn around and grab him by his scruff and throw him against a tree.

It breaks his back instantly and I take this as my chance to run off and escape. "No thanks bub, I'm not interested." I tell him before running off to the riverbank. I dive into a river's cold water and let it take me downstream.

I almost drown a few times, but it's worth it as long as no male catches me and forces himself onto me.

I crawl out of the river and onto its bank. I shake all of the water off and start searching for a spot to sleep at.

It takes me a bit to find a nice spot to sleep, my long fur kept getting caught on bramble bushes and other stupid stuff.

I close my eyes and drift off into an uneasy sleep. You never know when a male might pull a cheap shot and attack you while you are asleep.

A male's Pov.

Today is the day I leave the pack and search for a mate to call my own. My pack has no worthy females to call my mate.

The wild will have the female I'm looking for, stories have been circulating through my pack.

Stories of a female who has outsmarted and out fought all the males who have hunted her. But she won't outsmart me, this I am certain of.

I'm going out a week after winter began, that means that all the weaker and dumber females will be weeded out, just leaving the smart and strong ones, like the female.

I say my goodbyes then I leave my territory and head for the forest. As I walk I run into a white female with black speckles on her muzzle.

She doesn't even bother to fight, she just waggles her rear at me. Begging me to take her as my mate.

I growl at her, telling her to back off. I walk further into the forest.

So not quite all the dumb ones have been weeded out quite yet. It'll be all weeded out soon enough.

As I continue to walk I spot a male wolf with a broken back. I walk closer to him and he growls at me. "Don't go after the brown female with the scar over her right eye and torn left ear." He says before his eyes roll back into his head.

This is the female I'm looking for. The one who will bear me my heirs.

I put my nose to the ground and start sniffing, trying to get her scent. It takes a while for she is good at hiding her scent, but I find it. "Don't worry love, I'll be claiming you very, very soon." I grin.
