More Sleep.

Scar's Pov.

I don't like this, I don't like being scared of him. I need to grow up and ditch the stupid scaredness.

I watch Thunder, waiting for some kind of signal saying that I could eat. He nods his head and I dig into the carcass.

I make sure to eat the guts, my favorite part. I raise my head from the kill and look back. I can see the hunger in Ripper's eyes.

I flick my tail gesturing to him that he can come up and eat as well. I lower my head and go back to eating.

I can hear the click clack of Ripper's nails as he gets closer and closer. I hear a growl come from Thunder.

I look up at Thunder, he's trying to stare down his brother. Then Thunder growls again, and this time I growl back.

Thunder looks at me, he looks stunned. "You're defending him?" Why is he so stunned?

"Yes." I tell him with a look of sternness. I ain't takin no for an answer, Ripper is gonna eat wether Thunder likes it or not.

"Let him eat." I demand while makin eye contact with Thunder. I stare him in the eyes for what seems like forever before he finally backs down.

"Hurry up and eat." He grunts in annoyance. I lower my head back down and continue eatin.

I feel Ripper's side brush against mine, it kinda feels strange to eat with someone.

Thunder's Pov.

I pridefully watch as my beloved mate eats the deer I killed for her. I'm not happy about her sharing it with Ripper, but there's no point in fighting her about it.

Once Scar was done eating she looks up at me, then she backs up a few steps. As soon as she backed up Ripper looks back at her.

"Well brother thanks for the meal, but now I best be leaving." Ripper says before walking past me and leaving me alone with my mate.

"Thank you for lettin him eat." Scar smiles at me. Whoa, her smile is... is something else.

"Well I couldn't exactly say no when you looked like you were gonna kill me if I said no."

"Ya." She grins nervously. She walks up to me, she was so close to her that I could feel her breath on my chest.

"Thank you." She smiles up at me. I grin down at her, then I lick the top of her head. "Yuck." She yelps while backing away from me.

Then Scar walks past me and sits at the front of the cave, staring out at something. I walk up behind her, and stand next to her.

"It's all our's, all of it. Everything belongs to you and me." I tell her while staring out at my territory.

We watch as the sun starts to set, the entire time I shockingly don't sit down. "Come on love, it's time to go sleep." I whisper to her.

Scar stands up and walks to the back of the cave. I follow close behind her, I watch as she lays down on a moose hide.

That hide is from a moose I killed myself. So now I'm even more prideful. I grab a deer hide and drag it over to her.

Then I drag the hide over her body to keep her warm. "What are you doin?" She asks while looking at me funny.

"Dragging this over you so you stay warm, I can tell tonight's gonna be a cold one." I mumble while dragging a second hide over her.

I slip under the pelts and snuggle into her side. I'm sure she doesn't like that I'm snuggling against her side but I don't care.

I can hear her mumble something about not liking this, but I don't care. I stay awake a long time as she sleeps.

I can't help but think about how soon enough our pups will be in the world and how strong our little pups will be.
