Scar's Pov.
My eyes adapt to the darkness, and in the darkness I see my favorite pelt. The moose pelt, I quickly herd the pup that way and lay down. The gash in my side starts to bleed again as I lay down with this pup on the pelt.
Another crash of thunder shakes the sky, and the little pup hides his face in my stomach.
"It's gonna be okay, I'm here for you." I whisper. I can't stay for too long though, Thunder will most likely flip if he finds out I'm alive and didn't come home right away. But then again, I want to stay here with my mate.
My side continues to bleed as the puppy hides his adorable face in my side. "I need to stop the bleeding. I already almost died twice. I do not need to actually die." I whisper before I start to lick my wound.
Thunder's Pov.
"Hush little baby don't you cry, or mama might just die." The mystery female sings. Those words trigger Scar's death to replay in mind as I walk to the den room.
A wave of grief and blaming myself for her death washes over me. I shake my head, sending those feelings away.
At the sight of Bolt and this female snuggled up together a hollow feeling fills my chest.
This should be Scar and Bolt, but no. I was foolish and that got my love killed.
"It's time for you to leave." I tell her. She looks at me, and back down at Bolt. "Goodbye." She whispers before hesitantly getting up.
"No Mommy." Bolt whimpers. I glare at her, she is not his mother. He should not be calling her mommy.
"I'm sorry." She whimpers as she walks over to me. Bolt sits up and watches her go with sad eyes.
"I don't want you coming back here ever again, do you hear me?" I say while using my alpha dominance to intimidate her.
She stands as tall as short body will allow. She then points her ears forward and raise her tail.
"Don't try that on me, and yes I hear you. You will never see my face here again." She growls.
Put her in her place. Show her you are the boss not her! My alpha instincts scream. But I don't, that would involve killing her and I don't want to scare Bolt anymore than he already is.
"Go, now!" With my cold words she's gone. Bolt starts crying once she's out of his sight.
Why is he crying? He knew her all of two minutes. That's not nearly enough time to get attached to someone.
"Mommy's gonna die out there." Bolt cries as I lay down next to him. I'm not going to bother correcting him, he'll never see her again. "Why is she gonna die out there Bolt?"
"Mommy's bleeding bad." He cries, little tears rolling down his fluffy face. Concern rushes through me, but it quickly passes.
Bolt couldn't possibly know if that she-wolf is dying.
"She will be fine." I tell my son. "No she won't! She said she's gonna die." He cries as a fresh wave of tears roll down his face.
I need to find her and save, I owe her at least that much for killing my traitorous brother.
