Scar's Pov.
Damn Ripper! Damn him to hell! He's almost killed me once, and now he's for sure killed me.
I continue to think damning thoughts as I slip out of this place. The mud clingin to my fur, makin me almost unrecognizable.
I don't even make it halfway through the territory before I collapse. I knew I wouldn't make it very far. I'm shocked I even got Ripper here.
I'm out in the open, every one of my instincts screams at me to get to cover quickly and get out of this rain. So I do, I crawl to a nearby bush, gettin covered in even more mud.
"Well dying can't be that bad." I laugh weakly before I start lickin my wound, trying my best to stop the bleedin. It's no use though, it won't stop.
At least I got to see Thunder before I died for a third time. And I got to see that pup. Why would Thunder have that pup anyway?
No! No! No!!!!!! That white bitch told me that they mated, he must be her pup! That bitch didn't lie! Dammit! Damn her to hell too!
My poor Lightning, I wonder what happened to him. Thunder probably killed him because otherwise he'd starve to death.
Hot tears stream down my face, my baby is dead. This is all stupid Mars's fault! He nearly killed me, and that made my baby die!
I feel woozy. This must be it. The end of my life. Here I'm gonna die, the great escapee of many males, dead under a bush. Covered in mud, and soaked to the bone.
"That which does not kill you makes you stronger." The wind whispers. "Go away, I'm gonna die." I weakly growl. I'm ready for death.
"The struggle you're in today is developing the strength you need for tomorrow." The wind says. I don't bother listenin to anything else the wind tries to tell me.
Thunder's Pov.
Even though it's down pouring, I easily can track the blood trail.
She has lost a lot of blood, I don't even think I'll find her alive.
"You better find her! You can't let her die like you let me die! It's your fault I'm dead. Don't let her death be your fault too." Scar screams in my mind. "I know love. I know." I reply.
The rain and guilt soak me to the core. My mate died because of my foolishness. This female will not suffer the same fate.
I start running, trying to cover more ground. The blood trail is easy to follow, meaning she's bound to be dead when I find her.
Finally I come upon a bush with her under it.
"Thunder, I'm sorry." She rasps as I crawl under it to her. "Shh." I whisper as I start licking her wound to stop the bleeding.
It doesn't take long for the bleeding to stop. She needs to see the healer though, her bleeding may have stopped now, but it's likely to start bleeding again.
I gently grab her scruff and drag her out from under the bush. "Just leave me here to die." She cries as I lift her up and start carrying her to the den.
The heavy rain washes the mud off of the two of us and opens up her wound. "Ammit!" I curse as I see her blood mix with the rain.
It's a struggle to get her up the Pack Rock and into the cave, but somehow I do it.
"Is she dead?" Bolt whimpers as I lay Scar on a deer pelt. "Not yet. Go and get Noil. Tell him there's an injured wolf who is bleeding out."
Sending him out in this storm probably isn't the best idea, but it's the only way to save her life.
I watch Bolt go to the cave mouth, a loud crash of thunder shakes the cave and causes him to falter. He straightens his shoulders before going out into storm.
I'm so proud of him.
"Thunder, I feel dizzy." The she-wolf whimpers. "I know. Help is on the way." I reply before laying down next to her. As much as I would like to talk to her more, I need to try to stop her bleeding.
Narrator's Pov.
It didn't take long for Noil and Bolt to return.
"Alpha sir, I need you to get out of the way." Noil says before doing his thing to her wound.
The whole time Noil worked on her, Thunder hovered close by.
For an odd reason he felt a strange connection to her.
"These next few days will be crucial to whether she survives or not. You need to make sure she doesn't walk around too much and make sure she is well fed." Noil explains.
Thunder nods his head before Noil takes his leave.
Bolt walks up to his dad and rubs his head on his leg. "I'm so proud of you." He tells his pup with a proud smile.
"Thanks Dad." Bolt replies before going over to Scar's sleeping form. "Are you in pain?" He quietly asks her.
"No. I just feel dizzy." She says as she lays her scarred face on the deer pelt.
Thunder's Pov.
"Bolt, you should get some sleep. I'll keep an eye on our visitor." I tell him as he sits right next to her head.
"But..." "No buts, you need sleep." I interrupt him. He glares at me before getting up and laying on a pelt a little ways away from her.
In a few seconds he's asleep.
"Thunder?" The female asks. "Yes." "Do you know who I am?" She asks. I look at her up and down, she looks familiar but I can't place it.
"No, should I?" "I can't believe you don't remember me." She whimpers. "I swear on my own life that I will not ever run away again."
"Scar? Scar is that really you?" Is this really my mate? "Of course it's me, and this time I'm not running away." She weakly grins at me.
