Narrator's Pov.

After six weeks of living with Cora and Mika, Bolt returned to Pack Rock to live with his father.

Thunder had lots to do to help his pack heal after the battle, so more often than not, Bolt spent time with Cora and her pups.

So when the two had time together, it was always awkward.

"Daddy." A small voice whispers. "What?" A tired voice asks. "How old am I?"

Thunder looks down at his son, it's been two months since Scar "died." "You're two months old."

"Two months?! I'm getting old!" Bolt laughs. "I'm going out on the rock." He says before leaving his father alone in the den.

Thunder watches his son closely, he looks so small compared to what a normal two month old should look like. But that's what happens when your the runt of the litter.

Bolt sits on the edge of the rock, the very spot where his mother had hung on for dear life only a few months prior.

"Where's my mommy?" He asks the moon. The moon just glows faintly, never answering him.

"Where is she?" He asks faintly. "Your mother is out there." A voice whispers on the wind.

"She is?!" He asks the wind with excitement. "Yes she is." The wind replies.

"Where is she?" All he wanted was his mother, he'd give anything to see her just once.

"She's with your uncle." "My uncles dead, you mean my mommy's dead?" He cries. Of all the things Thunder would tell his son, he told him his uncle was dead not his mother.

He never told Bolt that his mother was dead as well. Scar was a touchy subject for Thunder, so he avoided it all together.

"A mother's love endures through all." Is all the wind says. The wind then dies down, and the air is still once again.

"Wait! I have more questions!" He yells. But it was to no avail, the wind was gone.

The sounds of nails clacking on the rock drifts to Bolt's small ears.

He turns his head and snarls at the unseen wolf.

The pale moonlight illuminates Bolt's pelt, and in his father's eyes he glows

The pale moonlight illuminates Bolt's pelt, and in his father's eyes he glows.

A small smile forms on Thunder's scarred face. Bolt looked so much like his mother with that snarl on his face.

"My son, who were you talking to?" Thunder asks with concern. There's no one out here, so who could Bolt be talking to?

"I was speaking with the moon." He replies quietly. This told Thunder that his pup needed to spend more time with him and less time with Cora's odd ball pups.

"Dad, where's mommy?" Bolt asks with those big puppy dog eyes. Thunder looks at his son, then he looks at the moon

"She abandoned us." Scar didn't really abandon them, but to Thunder her "death" felt like abandonment.

"No way." Bolt looks at Thunder's hideously scarred face with astonishment. "Yes, she left us. You can ask me more questions tomorrow. Right now you need to sleep."

Two months later.

Tornado's Pov.

I stared at Ripper. Did I just hear him correctly? "What did you just say?!"

"Eat up love, you're gonna need your strength." Ripper repeats himself.

Flashback.

Thunder drags the deer carcass to my paws and drops it there. "Eat up love, you're gonna need your strength." Thunder informs me.

Did he just call me love? What the hell! I am not his love! My lips rise in a grimace. "I am not your love." I snarl, showing him my sharp teeth. "If you say so, love." Thunder laughs.

*End of flashback*

The memories come flooding back after that one memory.

Thunder, I remember him now. He's my mate, the father of my pups, my Alpha.

"Tornado, eat!" Ripper demands. I look at him. Long live the Alpha. The words ring in my ears.

Cause I swear it. I swear I mean you no harm and I never go back on my word. What a sweet lie.

"You lied." "What are you talking about?" "You swore you wouldn't hurt me, but you kicked me off of the pack rock." The crazy in me starts to show as I grin evilly at him.

The fear in his eyes is evident as I stalk closer to him, completely ignoring the rabbit he killed for me.

"You swore it Ripper, and you broke it. You know what happens when you break a swear, don't you?" I ask him sweetly.

He nods his head very slowly. "You have your memories back." He's avoiding my question, so I grin back at him, of course I have my precious memories back.

"Ripper, this is the end of the line for you." As soon as those words are out of my mouth he lunges forward, tearing open my side.

Blood gushes out as I realize this is it. The life or death battle.

Narrator speaking here!

Ripper's heart told him not to hurt Tornado, but his want to live spoke louder than his heart.

The two wolves circle each other, looking for weaknesses. Tornado's weakness was obvious, the huge gash he had given her.

As Ripper was too busy ogling the gash in Tornado's side, she took it as the perfect moment to strike.
