~Nine weeks after the accident~
5:30 am
Crystal's POV
Sweat pours down my face as I take cover behind a wall. Peaking out from behind my spot, I shoot an icicle at an approaching figure.
As it silently falls to the ground, a voice calls out, "Dude! You shot my grandma!!"
The lights in the building kick on as I step out from my spot. I approach my best friend as he cradles the familiar cardboard cutout. "Well, why the hell would you make a target of your grandmother?"
"It's all I could make at the place without looking weird."
"Yeah, cause a six-foot cutout of your five-foot grandma is so inconspicuous. Whatever happened to good old generic bad guys?"
"Do you want your targets to be watermarked?"
I pinch the bridge of my nose with a huff, "I'd rather not shoot something that has offered me cookies!"
"Well, it looks like you're not going to be shooting much else today anyway." He glances around the room at the cardboard carnage, "Looks like you killed everyone."
I push him a bit, "Hey! Maimed at best!"
"Yeah, tell that to Grandma Ramon over there," he jokes
"Anyway," I roll my eyes "we should probably get going. You know, go get ready for our day jobs?" He nods and we start walking out the doors to our cars.
"Same time tomorrow?" He asks as we reach our destination
"Sure. Should I be expecting any more little old ladies to come at me?"
"Fine!" He throws his hands up, laughing "I'll find better cutouts."
"Whatever," I chuckle, "I'll see you at work, man."
He walks over to his own car, "Yeah, see ya."

After taking a shower and getting dressed, I grab the journal from my nightstand and make my way to the living room. Since the start of my training with Cisco, I've been keeping track of my progress. This little book holds every discovery from-
Week One: Cisco noticed that my eyes turn an almost fluorescent shade of blue when I use my powers.
-to what I'm about to add-
Week Six: Slight propulsion through ice bast. Travel via this method may be possible. In other words...I CAN BE FROZONE!
There's a lot we've learned in the past few weeks, including the obvious resistance to cold, ice/snow blasts, frost breath, and a slightly elevated healing factor. So, yeah, we've been productive lately...That being said, there's still a large hole in the roof of Star Labs so... eh, we'll get to it eventually.
Looking at the clock, I see I have plenty of time to get stuff done around my place. It's only six-thirty, giving me an hour and a half to do whatever, so I start making breakfast.
Turns out, I really need to go grocery shopping. All I could manage was like three eggs and a couple of pieces of bacon. Mental note: go after work. After I eat, I settle back onto the couch to watch a bit of the news before inevitably throwing on some show instead.
