~13 weeks since the accident~
Long forgotten lab inside Star Labs
Crystal's POV
"Owwwww," I whine as Cisco dabs some rubbing alcohol on a cut under my eye.
"If only someone had told you not to run into that warehouse all willy-nilly, oh wait." A smug grin graces his lips
"Fight me, Ramon." I stick my tongue out at him, "How was I supposed to know that bitch had a black belt?"
"You're just lucky this was the worst of it," he moves to wrap my ribs.
"No, the worst will be trying to get this past Caitlin." I slowly pull my shirt back over my head
"You're going to have to tell her at some point."
"No, I won't." I move to leave the room but he blocks the exit.
"What happens when you're hurt worse and I can't help you? What would we do then? It would help to have an actual doctor with us in this."
I stare at him for a second, sighing in defeat as I run a hand through my hair, "I hate it when you're right." I grumble.
He smirks, "Seriously, telling her may be easier than not. Don't you think the lies are getting a bit ridiculous."
"You're telling me. Last week she found my notebook, so I told her it was for a D&D character."
"I think you'd be a pretty badass warlock." He laughs, "Come on, we need to get back to work.", he shoves me playfully, I wince as my bruised ribs are jarred, "Shit, sorry."
"No worries, already healing."
We walk back into our lab to find Cait sitting at my desk, "About time you got back-What happened to your face?" She grabs my chin, tilting my head up to get a better look.
I pull my face from her grasp, "You don't miss a thing huh?"
"Seriously, what happened?"
Cisco looks at me, I can see the wheels turning as he tries to think of something, "She uh-"
"Slipped. I slipped on some ice when I went on my run this morning."
She laughs, shaking her head, "You always were such a klutz. How you even run out there without freezing to death is beyond me."
"You always said I was cold-blooded." I smirk, "What'd you need anyway?
"Oh yeah, you guys wanna go get lunch?"
"Of course," I laugh, "You don't usually venture over here unless there's food involved."
"You want to or not?"
"Yeah, let's go." I head towards the door
"Don't forget your coat," Cait calls. Turning on my heel, I walk back to my desk and snag my jacket from the back of the chair. "What would you do without me?" she teases, throwing an arm over my shoulder. I laugh to hide my wincing at the contact.

Monroe's Diner
Once we get to the diner we grab a booth to sit. Cisco excuses himself just as we're given menus. Cait and I sit in silence for a few minutes as we figure out what we want. I notice her look up and start staring at me over her menu, "Take a picture it'll last longer." I tease, putting the menu down, "What's up Cait?"
