Star Labs

Crystal's POV

"WOOOO!!!" Cisco boomed as I came back from taking down a new meta, "Another one in the bag for the Ice Tray!"

I cringed at the name, "Yeah, no. I refuse to be called the 'Ice Tray'." I started getting changed

Cait nodded over to the whiteboard in the corner of the room, "Cross it off."

"Don't get too discouraged, dude. Even that green hooded wack-job from Starling took a few tries before figuring out his name. We'll get there."

Still, Cisco grumbled his way over the board, crossing off yet another in a long string of failed codenames. "You think ice-based puns are easy? At this rate, you may just have to accept being the Frost woman."

I pulled a Star Labs sweatshirt over my head, "Get googling. " I led the group out of the lab, "Dr. Wells head home yet?"

"I think so." Cait answered, "You know we're going to have to tell him soon?"

"Hell no! He'll want to run tests and I'm not about getting probed!" I said, only half-joking. Truth is I was worried what he'd say when he'd found out we've all been lying to him for months. "I'll tell him, just not right now."

"So my favorite sisters Snow," Cisco changed the subject, "what's on our agenda for this fine evening?"

I shrugged him off, "I'm going home, you guys have fun."

"You sure? We could come with and-"

"We've hung out every night the past three weeks, I need some me time." And I wasn't kidding. These two have been glued to my side ever since the whole almost dying thing. I get that I scared them but I really needed my space. We said our goodbyes in the parking lot and I drove myself home whilst bopping along to the radio.

Crystal's Apartment

6:00pm

I sighed in contentment as I sunk into my couch. As much as I loved Cisco and Caitlin, it was really nice to be alone for once.

I opened my DVR and threw on today's Jeopardy episode that I had missed while I was at work. I settled in, computer firmly on my lap so I could so do more name research. I gave Cisco a hard time, but it seriously cannot be that hard to name an ice-based superhero.

"Latin Phrase Translation for $400, Alex."

"In loco parentis"

"In place of parents," I answered along with the contestant without looking up from my screen. I smiled to myself as Trebek deemed the answer correct.

I paused in realization. Latin. (1)

Maybe there was something there for me. I typed various cold-related terms into a translator before finding the perfect one. Now, it was just about getting the word out there. Lucky for me, CCTV isn't too far from my apartment.
