Crystal's Apartment

Crystal's POV

I grumbled lowly as the annoying blare of my alarm rang through the room. I sank further into the couch, only it wasn't just the couch. I mean not unless couches have started breathing recently. Slowly I rose from the spot. I found Cisco still passed out despite the alarm that continued to sound, his arm draped loosely over my middle.

We must have fallen asleep while watching TV last night, and we...cuddled. Damnit! If my feelings weren't already confusing as is, this had to get thrown in?

"Hey, Cis, get up." I shoved his side with one hand while the other pressed the snooze button.

He sprung to a sitting position, "I'm up!"

I turned off the TV, "Good, now come on. We're gonna be late."

He checked his phone, "Crap! I gotta go!"

"I've got some of your shit here. I'm gonna take a shower then you can jump in after."

"Got it! I'll make breakfast."

"I'm out!" I ran out of the bathroom fully dressed, hair still wet. Cisco barely let me get out of the doorway before barreling past me and closing the door.

I made my way into the kitchen, finding food made on the island. I started digging in, never really stopping in one place for long as I brushed my hair and gathered stuff for work. Time passed, Cisco's still in the shower. We've got to be at work in twenty minutes, and I still needed to stop at Jitters. "Clock's ticking, Cisco!" I called to him

A muffled, "Working on it!" was the reply. A knock came from the other side of my front door, I sighed. I don't have time for this.

"I'm sorry if we were being loud Mrs. Evans- Oh, you're not Mrs. Evans." I smiled awkwardly at the, admittedly very attractive, guy behind the door.

"Um, you're half right. Luka Evans." He held his hand out to me

I took it, "Crystal Snow. What can I do for you?"

"My mom sent me over for a cup of sugar, though I think she may have had other motives for sending me." He chuckled awkwardly, rubbing the back of his neck with his hand

"How could you ever think that? Not like she's been talking you up since the day I moved in." I laughed, stepping aside, "Come in. I'll get the sugar." I jogged into the kitchen

"If it helps any, she did the same with you." he cleared his throat, " 'Oh Luka, you simply must meet my neighbor.' " He said in a high pitched voice, " 'She's such a lovely girl, a little weird, yes, but oh so lovely.' "

" 'You two have so much in common!' " We said at the same time in the same voice, laughing when we realized we did it.

"Hey, Cris, talking to yourself again?" Cisco walked out of the bathroom, thankfully, fully clothed.

"Cisco, meet Luka. Luka, meet my friend Cisco." I introduced. The two boys shook hands. I walked out of the kitchen with the cup of sugar, handing it to Luka. "There you go, sir."

"Mom's cookies have been saved! Thank you." He started walking out but turned back, "Would you maybe want to hang tonight?"

"Sure, I'd love to. I get off at six, you know where to find me?" I joked
