"Good morning," Harry wakes me up with a kiss on the forehead, "Sleep well?" I nod in yes. He held me tightly last night, making sure not leave an inch of gap between us.

Yesterday was a nightmare. I so wish it wasn't just a metaphorical nightmare but a real one. My wish flies away as I see my adoption file on the coffee table. It's all true and unbelievable.

"Alright, you go freshen up, let's go out for breakfast today." Harry suggests. I'm not liking the sweet Harry he has suddenly become.

"Who are you and what have you done to my snappy fiery Harry?" I ask and he smiles leaning for a kiss but I move away, "I haven't brushed my teeth." I say.

"So, you like the snappy fiery Harry, huh?" he asks while I am in the bathroom, brushing my teeth.

"Yes, very. He's the one I fell for not some sweety sugary moron." I answer.

"Alright," I hear him laugh, "I have to attend a call I'll be back." he says.

For a husband so handsome he shouldn't be this busy. I love the way he's so dedicated to work. He's hard working, sincere, dedicated, good at his job, I wish I could be one of those things. Busy with the corporate numbers in one of the giant offices, argh, can't even imagine a life like that. I love what I do.

I take a shower and get dressed for breakfast. The weather is nice and sunny today. We drive to a nearby restaurant for breakfast.

After breakfast, Harry and I hang out in our room. He has taken work from home for me which makes me feel bad but believe me you can't argue with him. He's more stubborn than I am. I go through my file again and again. Every time I open it I wish it wasn't there. There is absolutely no reference of my actual parents in there.

That's it! There is only one way to find out. I have to go to the neighborhood where Mr Anderson found me. I grab my purse and tie my show laces when Harry clears his throat.

"Where are you going?" He raises an eyebrow.

"Out for a walk." I lie and try not to make eyes contact with him. As much I want him with me I don't want to distract him from his work.

"April?" he looks at me suspiciously and I give him an awkward smile, "Where are you going?"

"I.. Uh.." I fail to find words, "Alright I'm going to the neighborhood where Mr Anderson found me. I'm sorry but I have to know about my real parents! I have to know why they gave me up!"

"Okay, relax. I'll come with you." he says.

"No! Harry, you can't compromise your work for me!" I protest.

"I can and I will. Now, that's my decision to make, you don't get a say in this." he shuts me up.

We reach the ally where Mr Anderson found me. It's a very different locality. Chaos is almost everywhere. Loads of people walking down the street.

"Wow!" Harry exclaims, "I've never been here, although it's so close to my house. So, what's the plan?"

"I don't have one." I reply. He parks the car in a corner and we get out. I almost think he's mad at me for bringing him here without having any idea how to find or what to find.

"How old are you?" he asks. That's a weird question.

"Twenty three. Why?" I ask.

"Hey, you are a year younger than me!" he smiles and kisses me cheek, "Okay, we just have to find a person who knows this neighborhood from twenty three years. That shouldn't be difficult." his hand moves around my shoulder pulling me closer to him while we move.
