The next day, we were all a little hungover, and still buzzing from the events from the night before. Luckily the boys had the day off. We were all up sitting around a table in the corner of the breakfast all at the hotel, plates full of waffles, nutella and vegemite.

“So, um. How long did you guys know?” Toni asked, admiring the ring that fit perfectly on her finger.

“Well.” I laughed looking over at Ashton.

*flashback*

Ashton and I were sitting in the back of the bus watching Forrest Gump when Calum came in, “Oh good, just the people I needed to talk to.”

“Huh?” Ashton asked as I sat up.

Calum paused the movie and sat on the floor in front of us. “I can't sleep, and I was looking for a good time to talk to you guys, so this works.”

“Talk to us about?” I asked, slightly confused.

He took a deep breath. “I need your help planning something.”

Ashton and I looked at each other, then back at Calum. “Well go on.”

He rubbed his hands together, then ran a hand through his hair. “I uh, I think I’m in love with Toni.” He started.

“Duh” Ashton interrupted.

“Sh.” I punched him lightly on the shoulder.

“Like, the way she makes me feel, I haven’t felt it ever. It’s like when we are together we are the only people in the world, and when I look into her eyes all the pain I have ever felt melts away.” He was playing with his hands, “I know we haven’t been together long, but I really love her, and want her to be mine for ever. I want to protect her, and make sure she knows how beautiful she is every day of her life. I want to be the one she gets so mad at she throws a dish, but instantly regrets it. I need to make sure she is always happy because without her smile, my world would be so dark. I need to spend the rest of my life with her. I understand it will be hard because she won’t always be able to go on tour with us, but I am willing to do anything to make sure that no matter what, her eyes always shine bright, and her smile is always wide, and I know that I want to wake up to her every day I can. Spend every Christmas together, every Halloween dressing up, suprising her every Valentines day with flowers. I need her, I need to marry her.” He finally looked up. “Oh no. Why are you crying?” He asked. looking worried.

I laughed, wiped my eyes and smiled. “That is so sweet. Oh my god.”

He looked over at Ashton who was smiling at her. “Dude, that was deep, and wow.”

“Don’t tell her, I need your help though.” Calum said smiling up at us. “I want to surprise her. I’ve already talked to my mom about it, and she approved. I want to do it when we go to Sydney.”

I started jumping up and down, covering my mouth so I wasn’t so loud. “I know what to do. She has always talked about this.” I smiled wide, Ashton and Calum looking at me as if to go on. “Okay. First off. What do you have planned?”

“Well, I was thinking, maybe do it on stage. I remember her saying she thought it would be cute of a band member proposed to his girlfriend on stage. So theres that.”

“Perfect.” I said, remembering our conversations we use to have. “She loves Long Way Home, so it would be absolutely perfect to do it during that song.”

Calum nodded, Ashton grabbed a pen and paper writing ‘Long Way Home’ on it, looking back at Calum. “Hm, I got it. ‘Cause we’re taking the long way home, And I don’t want to be wasting my time alone.’ Then all the music stops, and I say ‘So, Toni Lynn Frizzell will you be the one who takes the long way home with me for the rest of my life?’ then hopefully she says yes” He ran his fingers through his hair again.
