Everything was moving in slow motion.

We walked in, Kyle was already there looking at me with the creepy smirk on his face. Ashton grabbed my hand and arm, leading me to our seats. My heart was beating so fast and loud, I couldn’t hear myself think. I was looking around the room, and all I could do was sit there. It felt like everyones eyes were on me. Ashton was trying to talk to me, but I couldn’t focus long enough to understand the question. My body felt numb, but heavy at the same time. Finally after what seemed like centuries the jury came in, then the judge.

“Oh God.” I whispered as my hands started to shake, and my stomach started to knot up.

Ashton took both my hands in his large ones. “It’ll be okay. No matter what. He will never ever hurt you again.” I nodded and took in a shaky breath.

“It really didn’t take long to come to a verdict in this case.” She made eye contact with me, and slightly nodded her head. “On the charges of assault on a Police officer we find him guilty. I sighed. “On the charges of breaching a restraining order we find him, guilty. On the charges of assault on Allison Hughes, we find him,” I sucked in a deep breath and everything froze. “Guilt.” Ashton squeezed my hand and everyone reached over and patted my knee. “The sentencing time on those charges is 50 years, with no possibility of parole.” I smiled.

He is never going to see me again, ever. “Thank God.” I whispered.

“But.” The judge said, my eyes grew wide. “It appears more charges have come up, just today. You are also charged with lying under oath, and abuse.”

“I never abused anyone!” Kyle yelled.

The judge looked over her glasses. “The hospital photos say otherwise.”

“I have already done my time for that!” Kyle yelled throwing his hands on the table.

“Clearly you didn't, or else we wouldn’t be here. Whomever took care of this didn’t do their job because there should be no reason for someone like you, an abusive alcoholic, to be in society. Guard, take him.” She said as two rather strong looking guards walked over and took Kyle by his arms, leading him out of the courtroom. “Ms. Hughes. I’m so very sorry you had to worry with him in your life, never again will you have to.” She nodded, and I nodded in return. “Court is dismissed.” She said, and everyone got up to leave.

“Celebration drinks on me.” James said once we got out of the building.

Luke held up hand up a moment. “I need to run to the house and get Cally. Where we going?”

“Hm, Jippies?” Calum suggested.

Luke nods and heads to his car, we all headed to Jippies.

“I’m going to call mom and dad, I'll be right back.” I said when we pulled up, gave Ashton a kiss and stayed at the car, calling mom. “Mom.” I said when she answered. “We got him. He is gone for good.” I started crying, tears of joy though, happy that he was gone.

“Oh, honey, good. I’m so glad.” She said, I was on speaker, but I could hear her smile.

I laughed, “Me too, we leave for tour tomorrow, and right now we are out celebrating.” I heard footsteps and looked up to see Ashton.

“Good, don't have too much fun. And send pictures!” She laughed.

“I will. Promise. I love you.” I said as Ashton stopped in front of me.

“We love you too.” She said, before hanging up.

“You good?” Ashton whispered, putting a hand on my face.
