I followed closely behind my mom who held my sister, tightly in her arms. We walked into the compound.

"Where's Vincent?" Mom asked, glancing around.

"Right here." A dark skinned man stepped out of the shadows. "I kept my word. Now the only question is whether or not you guys are gonna keep yours. As soon as I'm finished healing your child, you got to leave the city."

"Well, we're not gonna stay, are we? Your city has lost its charm." Klaus rolled his eyes.

"What he means to say is that we're very greatful, just... help her and we'll leave." Mom frowned.

"Just give us what we need. And we will do so, happily." Elijah told the man named Vincent.

"Excuse me." He crouched beside Hope. I stayed by her, holding her hand. "Okay..." He started saying a spell. He touched her forehead.

Hope slowly opened her eyes. "Jackson? Mom?"

"I'm here." I told her.

"That's it." Vincent stood. "Your little girl is purified."

"Thank you." Klaus smiled.

"Now look, the only gratitude I need from any of you is seeing you leave this city. " Vincent stated.

"Go see your daddy." Mom told Hope.

"Come with." Hope said, grasping my hand.

I jumped in shock when a bird fell. More birds started to fall. Mom ran to us.

"What is this?" Klaus asked.

"I don't know." Vincent told him.

"Mom?" Hope asked. "Can you hear that? It's... whispers. Saying a name. Over and over. Kre Nah Han... Kre Nah Han..."

My eyes widened. "What does that mean? Mom ?"

Mom didn't know, she turned to Vincent. "Vincent, what... what is that?"

"It's a nearly forgotten dialect. It's Creole. It means The Hollow. The Hollow is coming." Vincent had wide eyes.

~~~~~~~
I felt like crying. My sister was sick. I don't know what I'll do if I lose her.
"How are you feeling?" Klaus walked in.
"I'm still so cold." Hope muttered. "Are the birds gone?"
"Yeah. They're gone, sweetheart." He smiled. "And when you are better, which will be soon, we are going to share the biggest plate of beignets you've ever seen. Jackson can join. And you can tell me where in this big, wide world you'd like me to take you next."
Hope grinned, tiredly. I smiled at him.
"Sounds fun." I looked at Hope.
Hope smiled at me, before talking to her dad. "Mom said you loved New Orleans most of all."
"I did, once. But putting your live in a place is a mistake. Being here in our home, seeing these walls, I am reminded that it is people who are best suited to fill our hearts." Klaus told her.
"Dad." Hope looked very sick. "I don't feel so good."
He brushed her hair back from her forhead.
"That man, Vincent... Mom said he was a witch. That he came to help us feel better." Hope said. "But we feel worse."
"I know. I know. But don't worry. Because as we speak, your mother and your uncle Elijah are working with Vincent to fix you both up. So you just stay calm and they'll make everything all right." Klaus explained.
"Do you know what it is?" Hope wondered. "The Hollow?"
"No, sweetheart... I don't."
"It wants those other kids. I can feel them. I think it wants me, too."
"I am not gonna let anything take you. I promise you that. I'm going to keep you safe, always and forever."
"And Jackson." Hope said. "She's part of always and forever too, right?"
Klaus nodded. "Of course."
"I love you Hope. Feel better." I said, snuggling up beside her.
~~~~~~~

Hope gasped awake. "Dad?"

I flinched when she woke up. I couldn't go to sleep, so I stayed awake watching over her.

"I saw them. The other kids." Hope continued. "They're so scared. Promise me. If you ever see the blue lights. Don't look at them."

My eyes widened in shock. Blue lights?

~~~~~~~
Hope woke up again. I smiled softly at her. Freya walked in.
"Hope." Freya hugged her and Hope hugged back.
"I'm not cold anymore." Hope said.
~~~~~~~

Hope woke me up. I finally managed to fall asleep after a long time.

"Hope? What is it?" I felt scared.

"It's here." She stated in horror. "The Hollow..."

This wasn't good.

A/N

I'm sorry this chapter is sucky and short. But Hope was sick and Jackson didn't want to leave her.

Let me know what you think.

Thanks for reading.
