it's true.
i'm so grateful.
for everything.
i've gone through a lot
i've complained a lot
as i'm writing this
i'm crying out of gratefulness
my heart is so full
of love and positivity
of empathy and sadness
of anger and calamity
but mainly gratefulness.
i'm so thankful that
i was born into a beautiful family
two beautiful parents
received a beautiful baby sister
i have a small number of cousins
we don't all get along and we're definitely not all best friends
but at least i have family that i know will take care of me if something goes wrong
i'm so thankful that
i'm raised in an amazing country
surrounded by culture and diversity
glued by kindness and unity
getting a taste of all things wonderful
woefully watching other countries suffering and wondering how some people could let the devil get into their heads
how they are managing to just get by and raise others with how little they have
i think of them every night and wish to help them
i'm so thankful
for having god to guide me
his angels watching over me
and hopefully forgiving all my sins
for his little instruction booklet
so carefully written
one day will fully make sense to me
i'm waiting for that day
i'll be able to read it with my future husband
i hope he's out there in the same boat
i hope he's also grateful for everything he's got
as i'm writing this
i'm balling my eyes out
of gratefulness
and i also think i'm on my period
my hormones are going crazy
it's too early in the morning.
i'm not happy
i'm not sad
i'm not angry
i'm just so, so grateful.
