a poem on forgotten friendship
remember when
i used to come over
eat all your chocolate chips?
we'd sing our hearts away
dance the day away
since my parents had a strict curfew
play grounders at the park
talk about god knows what
i'd help you with school
you were being bullied
the day i first met you
i stopped colouring with them
we were best friends for a while
complained about annoying people
always remained united
how time changes everything
i hung out with the nice crowd
you became distant
the days went on
we stopped talking and smiling
saw you drink and party
i stopped trying
you forgot to care
but remember when–
